Holiday Inn Express Vero Beach-West

Staff that I interacted with were very nice. Hotel rooms have a very bad smell. Tried four rooms until I found one that was at least tolerable. Found out a day later that the refrigerator in the room didn’t work. Manager on duty assured me that it would be taken care of the next day; it wasn’t.
Out of all the hotels I have stayed at, this was the worst. Everything seems fine on the surface, but the smell coming from the plumbing in the bathroom is bad. Failure to fix/​replace fridge was the final straw that led to this review.

I have to start by saying that Kim at the front desk was great. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice (first floor location) but I think next time I have to remember to request a room not so close to the entrance.
The breakfast was horrible, they need to get rid of that pancake machine. It was like eating uncooked plaster. I thought I would try a plain bagel instead, took it to my room and took a bite. It was either days old or half frozen. When I stay there again I will make sure NO pancakes and toast the bagel. Or maybe bring my own food.
Another person staying there said the same thing about the pancakes and said the need to get «the waffle maker» if it’s not broke …

I was driving from Fort Lauderdale up to Orlando with my young daughter one evening and after getting caught in a torrential downpour and a screaming child in the middle of the night this last minute mobile booked hotel was my shelter from the storm of rain and tears.
This is a good basic roadside Holiday Inn Express, not some 5-​star resort, but not priced like one either. The service was very good, both front desk and the morning breakfast staff. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
The location, just off of I-​95 is very convenient to a couple of places to eat and very close to a decent sized outlet mall. It is also close enough to the turnpike split that you can easily cut over to the turnpike and head up to Orlando as I did.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good, clean, comfortable place to stay for the night, whatever your purpose.

While visiting with my family recently, I found the Holiday Inn Express Hotel at Vero Beach West to be clean and modern. The friendly staff were very accomodating — especially the young lady (I forgot her name) that ran the breakfast bar.
Unlike the other area hotels that had waffle makers, this particular place had a pancake maker that would spit out two pancakes everytime you pushed the button. With three small kids, having an all-​inclusive breakfast bar is not only helpful but a real money saver. I look for this in a hotel when booking my stay.
Besides the breakfast bar, there is a business center, pool, workout room and
free wi-​fi. Although the speed was not what I am used to, you don’t come to a hotel for the computer access.
Conveniently located to I-​95 and the West Vero corridor that includes the outlet mall, I would return to this location again. I disagree with other ratings that complain about parking. Between the hotel, neighbor hotels and restaurants and the outlet mall itself, you should have no problem in parking whatever type of vehicle you are driving.

Found a staff to be very friendly, and helpful when checking in. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is due to limited parking for motor coach. This could be difficult for multiple bus tours. But that is the only limitation that I have seen thus far. Close to several restaurants and an outlet mall. Extra note… staff was kind enough to show me alternative parking for a Motor Coach if main lot

Everything we wanted and expected. Price was right, room was clean and new, and breakfast was hot. Another great HIX experience.

I’ve seen better HIE’s. This one doesn’t have laundry machines. The beds are very firm, I hope I sleep. Other than that, it’s a HIE. Nope, I didn’t sleep

Warm greeting. Informative. Clean rooms with flat screen tvs, fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Soft king-​size bed.
