The food was good, and reasonably priced. There were only a few patrons when I went in on a Monday evening around 5pm. I ordered the chicken chow mein with extra cabbage, and it was really good — it fulfilled all of my noodle needs, lots of fresh vegetables and chicken. The server was very new and unfamiliar with the menu, but polite and attentive. The downside, no cocktail menu — the bar only stocks bear and wine.

This is our favorite restaurant ever! The food is always fresh and fast and the best feature? They deliver, for free! So yes, food is always good, never messed any orders up and very generous portions.

This is my favorite restaurant in the East Bay! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I’ve tried quite a few different dishes here and they are all delicious. I get take out here, I bring guests here, I come for soup when I’m feeling under the weather, and I’ll come whenever I want a great meal for a good price(for WC standards). Location is good and so is the ambiance. Trust me, I know my Chinese food, and this place is authentic.

Decided to stop in for a quick lunch prior to heading to the coffee shop to get some work done(was on a time crunch). Service was great, very fast & friendly. I ordered the«Eggplant delight» a perfect fusion of traditional Chinese /Hunan shrimp /chicken with vegetables & Chinese eggplant with a side of fried rice. I was hoping the eggplant was a little more soft. The lunch special came with a egg-drop soup and choice of salad with peanut sauce or vegetable egg role. For quick & delicious quality traditional Chinese food in Walnut Creek, this is place.

Dragon’s Pond is the best Chinese restaurant, my favorite. I go to restaurants often, from casual dining in taquerias to fine dining in San Francisco and I just say that the way this restaurant is run is very admirable. If the management reads it, you’re doing a phenomenal job! The place is very clean. The people are friendly, they are fast, the food is consistently fresh, delicious and amazing! They also deliver quickly! Their chicken is amazing, soft like no other. The list goes on, which is why I continue to order from them on an almost weekly basis. I usually order delivery. And even in that aspect they are perfect. The food has always arrived in a timely manner and HOT!!! I did eat in the restaurant with a large group of foreigners, family visiting from Israel. Those situations can get complicated but the staff was friendly, adaptable, and it was a truly enjoyable dinner. On top of that a couple family members only eat Kosher and they were very accommodating and have excellent veggie dishes. There’s something for everyone and I mean everyone to enjoy. I have so many good things to say about this place! Even when I’m done eating, I think about what I will get next time from them. And I do get tempted to call them after in done eating to say thanks for the fantastic meal but then think maybe it’s too cheesy and I would hate to interrupt if they’re busy. Lol I saw a review of that said heir prices are high and it’s ridiculous! Their prices are reasonable ESPECIALLY for that area! To those who haven’t tried it, try it and I’m sure you will like it.

Still a winner. Had lunch here recently with a girlfriend — food is still on point, and I just love the atmosphere. I can probably say this is one of my favorite Chinese Food lunch spots :) Winner.

Best Chinese food we have found in walnut creek. Right in the middle of downtown. Nice ambiance — but we actually did take out. Everything was yummy and fresh — chow fun — sweet and sour pork — egg rolls — hot and sour soup. Very quick and order was accurate. Will definitely be ordering from there again soon.

Best Chinese restaurant in walnut creek. Great deal during lunch. Comes with soup or salad, fresh vegetable roll, and entrée with rice. The honey walnut shrimps there is top 5 best honey walnut shrimp to me. Pretty great spot, clean, and good service. A must when I’m in town.

I was excited to finally stop in here after walking by so many times. We had the Honey Walnut Prawns, which were nicely fried but we’re covered in way too much of a barely sweetened mayonnaise sauce. After my friend asked«what’s the spiciest thing you have», he was directed to the Mongolian beef which was tough and very average. The prices of the dish were a high but standard for the location. Service was just that: serviceable. Finally, after it came up in all the reviews I was expecting the free green tea ice cream… you guessed it that didn’t happen. Overhyped, I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Excellent Chinese, best in town with emphasis for me in vegetarian, particularly faux chicken in basil sauce and other veg items. But, everything great. Cousin of Zen Restaurant in Pleasant Hill, currently under renovation

I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants in the US and this is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had(well, second to my grandma’s chinese food)!!! My boyfriend and I have had the Sweet & Sour Chicken, the Crispy Glazed Chicken, the beef chowfun, the mu shu duck and the minced beef soup. The Good: — The crispy glazed chicken & the mu shu duck is soooooo goood! I would recommend them to anyone who comes to this restaurant. — The sweet & sour chicken and the beef chowfun was pretty good too. The Bad: — I didnt like the soup because to me it smelled fishy, but my boyfriend thought it smelled fine. I have a sensitive sense of smell and on top of that I am allergic to seafood so I do not eat those, so my nose might be more sensitive to fishy smell than other people. We ate at the restaurant once and I thought the service was just ok. It took quiet awhile for someone to take down our order. When we were there, the floor was slippery; my boyfriend almost slipped on it once and we saw a couple other people almost did too. Not sure if they had just cleaned the floor which made it so slippery or what but I would be careful. We had the food delivered once too. Delivery took 40 – 45 mins which seems normal for delivery. Overall I would totally recommend this restaurant. This is my go-to Chinese restaurant, at least until I find something better and close to where I live.

I was so hungry when we came in that we ordered more than what we were able to finish. But that was okay because we packed it home afterward. What we liked was the crispy prawns but did not enjoy the garlic noodles as much as I thought we would. I guess after having the garlic noodles from the Vietnamese food truck, I just can’t seem to find one that good. I also wish that the curry seafood dish was better too. Seems like most of the seafood was missing from the plate. Wasn’t too excited about the dish. Other than that, the service was good and our teas were refilled almost constantly. That was nice. Towards the end of the evening, we were planning to get the fried banana desert but heard about the complimentary ice cream that came with our meal. Kudos for that!

This is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I’m not a huge Chinese food person, but this place was great. You get big portions for a good price. Their chow mein noodles are amazing. And they deliver!

Really delicious food. Nice clean location and very friendly service. Ordered dinner take out … only down side, the prices verses the small portions made my jaw drop. Maybe will try lunch there in the near future. Perhaps prices are a bit more reasonable.

Been ordering from here since about a month ago. I’ve gotten 4 different meals and they all have been amazing. 3 meals from the lunch special menu and their garlic noodles– all delicious! This is my new fav spot when I need food at work. super happy and their prices aren’t bad. Lunch specials always come with a choice of an egg roll or salad AND soup. Their egg rolls are good too. I shall order from here again! Looking forward to my 5th order. Lol. Thanks again for another awesome lunch!

Came here for the first time for lunch with the bf. He had noodle soup with fish. I had their honey walnut shrimp. Noodle soup was a bit spicy, huge portions. Lots of herbs/garnish as well as veggies, which I love. There were lots of large pieces of fish that were well cooked and very soft. Their honey walnut shrimp is my bf’s favorite. Crispy, freshly cooked, and most importantly, not doused with mayo. The walnuts were also candied deliciously. Lightly crunchy and slightly sweet. Service was also good. Very attentive and friendly staff. Good and hearty portions.
