Uptown is a great little spot! The burgers and fried pickles are super yummy and the pricing is average. The reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because any time I’ve gone the service is extremely slow. Not to fault the staff there– there are just not enough on the floor for customers. Fix this issue, & the staff would be able to be more friendly & spend a few minutes taking care of customers.

Wow fried pickles were really good! I mean they were not house made but tasted good with my beer! I’d like to eat more next time as the sandwiches sounded good.

Nice surprise when there’s no one else that will feed you lunch or breakfast in the area we wandered in and were so delighted! best menu of deliciousness and great service. I had amazing egg salad mixed up with carmelized onions and fresh made bacon bits. Way more food than I could eat! My hubbys hash browns were fresh and crispy with their own home made ketchup, yummy!

Just got a miserable veggie sandwich. lettuce was chopped out of a bag, little bitty pieces of tomato, one lousy thin slice of low quality cheese and not so good bread. Sandwich cost $ 9 and wasn’t worth a dollar. Fries were undercooked and soggy. Won’t be back

We have enjoyed wonderful breakfast, lunch, and dinners is here all of which share one common element — great flavors. Prices for the quality are very reasonable and the quantity of food is just right. The location is extremely convenient to all the nearby commerce. Would urgent anyone who is interested in a sitdown meal to give it a try.

Nice spot tucked in the back of a strip mall in Warrington. I was on the fence between three and four stars. I gave them four on service and quality. The service was great. The staff very friendly. The food was good. I ordered chicken tacos that were very good. It is the best place just south of Astoria if your looking for a nice low-key place to eat. Back to the 3 vs 4 stars, four or five means ‘y’all gotta try it’. Uptown is not a ‘gotta go’ place. No fancy deck or ocean view; just good food served by friendly people, which in my book is enough on any given day. If I am in Warrington or driving between Astoria and am need of a good place to eat, this is one of the better finds. If driving north, skip food in Seaside and eat here Try it and you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Located in a strip mall and decorated with a modern and artsy touch, Seat yourself anywhere and service is always friendly and attentive. You will find great fish tacos with house made chips, guacamole and fresh pico de guyo! Who would have thunk at an American café? We have dined here 3 different times and each time it was evident that The Uptown Café is consistently good because they start with fresh groceries and are creative with their menu. Not your Mommas Diner! Also a full bar with some creative offerings, someday I may even try one of those specialty drinks because I know I will return.

Get on Up to Uptown! It’s tricky in a place like Warrenton to find a good place. It’s basically a bedroom community, and not a place you go and stay when visiting the coast. You live here or you stop here at a store and not much else. However, sometimes there’s a diamond in the rough in these smaller beach towns, and Uptown has your back! I’ve eaten here several times, and I’ve been very satisfied every visit. They have nice outdoor seating when the weather is decent, a beautifully designed inside, and they pack a pretty good punch when it comes to local brews and drinks for Happy Hour. There aren’t many veggie options for me, but I do really like their black bean burger quite a lot. You see it on many menus, but they do it right here, and it’s house made if I’m not mistaken. They offer plenty of burgers, big salads, and pannini sandwiches as well. Their fries are really good I must say! Plus, I’m probably the last guy to ever order sweet potato fries, but here they do them very well and I sheepishly admit I’ve ordered them a time or two! Service is really great, and I appreciate them engaging you in conversation if they aren’t busy, and it makes you feel like a temporary local, rather than just a passing tourist that got«stuck» in Warrenton for a few hours. Plus, I like how they do little extras here, like bring an old fashioned bottle of water or ice tea and leave it at your table. Negatives? If you are in the mood for more of a bigger meal or a nicer dinner, probably better to head into Astoria. For me it’s lunch here or bust. Not a lot of veggie options, and it feels like this could be a good place to do a small pizza but no dice. Overall, just a fantastic café to relax for awhile, grab a bite to eat before hitting the beach further South, or get a Happy Hour beer… okay two beers, and then get on home! It’s super clean, very friendly, and if you take your blinders off you’ll see that even the smallest towns can surprise you!

I work near the Uptown Café but I haven’t heard much about it, so I decided to give it a try today. Overall, I wasn’t too impressed – Not that there was anything negative about my experience, but I felt like there wasn’t anything unique enough about this restaurant that I would come back for. One of my first observations as we seated ourselves were the multiple un-bussed tables in a fairly empty restaurant. Perhaps we just showed up after the lunch rush, but most of the tables remained un-bussed for about fifteen minutes(which in a seat-yourself situation just takes away good seating options.) Service was VERY friendly, but a little slow for how empty the restaurant was. Their(LUNCH) menu offers a variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and a few special entrees. They have a very comprehensive selection of local craft beers, as well as a pretty decent list of cocktails – complete with happy hour specials. I was pleased to see they offered not one, but four different ciders! However, we did not order any drinks during our lunch. I ordered the Turkey Monte Cristo sandwich with a side salad, and my dining partner ordered the Chicken Strip Burger with fries. I was not impressed with the presentation of our meals when they arrived, which was only a surprise to me because the interior decorating of the Uptown Café is so trendy. I expected something quirkier than white round plates.(But I have a feeling their cocktails are really cute.) The presentation was not sloppy though, and of course it did not influence the taste. I really liked my sandwich! It was a delicious turkey/ham melt, with a perfectly complimenting blend of cranberry and mustard sauces. The salad was fresh and crispy, but lacking in garnishes. While my dining partner seemed to like his burger, I felt like it was an item they could cut from their menu. The strips just seem to have more disadvantages than a patty(such as movement and unnecessary breading). The fries were average, but the Uptown Café makes their own ketchup(cool!!) Overall, this is a nice restaurant with decent food(and I’m betting a better place for dinner and cocktails than lunch.) However, the menu did not entice me enough to want to try more and I feel like there’s similar restaurants in Astoria I’d rather visit.

Slow service, a yappy server spent 7 minutes talking to a table. As we were ignored. drink orders taken but not delivered, another server took drink orders… finally delivered. Hubby and daughter liked the mushroom burger and chix tacos. IT will be another year or longer before I go back. Not happy with the service, definitely don’t like to be ignored 2.5 stars

Not bad. The chicken tacos were really good and the onion rings were very hot. I did not like the cosmopolitan I ordered. I don’t think it was made bad, I just didn’t like it. We were waited on sort-of attentively.

Had lunch the other day. Not impressed. The waitress really acted as though she did not wish to be there. Slow service. To add insult to injury. She added 18 percent tip to my bill. When I challenged her on it she said she must of made a mistake. Right! Anyway I won’t be back. Poor service mediocre food and high prices leaves only one thing left to do. Find someplace else that wants my money.

I went here two days in a row and had a tasty lunch both times for under $ 10. Grilled chicken sandwich with chicken and veggie soup the first day and fish tacos and fries the second day. Love the baja sauce that comes with the tacos… order it on the side to double it as a yummy fry dipping sauce. Very generous portions here! Service was friendly and prompt and the interior was pretty and unique. Outdoor seating available.
