$ 5 taco and it sucked. Bottom line. I couldn’t believe it. The only thing they have going for them is that they are open late.

They do have good food but the service is bad… And when they bring your order to the table its opposite of how you want things… Went in there and bought 3 asada tacos with beans and salsa on the side and they put everything on them and also a fied fish and when they brought it over and it wasnt fully cooked and they had fried it in the same oil as the tacos. Like what kind of place does that. Totally disgusting and its happened 3 times already with other plates as well. Definetly not coming here for a while.

Tried this place again last night. Got a couple of chicken burritos at their«drive thru», which basically consists of someone without a menu walking up to your car and asking you what you want. Of course, I didn’t really know what I wanted — so I asked for a menu. The experience was just all around weird. Employees were rude, everyone else got their food before us, and our order of chips for two people was so tiny. Honestly, I felt like I was being judged because we look more like two hippy kids from Santa Cruz than people who belong in Watsonville. I feel like they saw us roll up with our van, dogs, clothes, etc, and just wrote us off. The food was good, but the service was so cold and awkward that I won’t be going back. Unfortunate.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. I highly recommend their burritos, probably the best in town!

The best burrito in Watsonville! I have been searching and searching for my favorite taqueria in Watsonville, but this place takes the cake! The carne asada is so tender, just the way I like it. It’s cheap, delicious, and even has a drive through! They have little touches that other places just don’t do, like grilled onions and grilled jalapenos. Definitely my new go to spot.

Never coming back. I ordered nachos with extra avocado to go. I got home and guess what? I had black avocado on my nachos! Called them and their explanation was they blackened in the 5 minute drive home! Bullshhh… i paid for green avocado! Terrible customer service. NEVER going back. Instead… Drive 2 blocks down and visit El Frijolito!

You know I come here 3 or 4 times a month, its those darn good hard shell tacos that keep me coming back. The shells are fried fresh not store bought there’s not too many places in Watsonville that do this so for this they get 4 stars… it would be 5 stars if they made flour tortillas a la mano.

Haven’t had everything but I really like the tortas and empanadas. I come here when craving a torta de milanesa de res! It’s the best. It’s not one of those places to expect awesome service so don’t judge them that way, it’s about the food.

I love their Al Pastor Tacos with a chile toriado, they are the best in Watsonville. The horchata is also really good. Because I really don’t like the location I usually call my order and pick up at the side window.

This place is ridic. So cheap and so good. My gf and I got shrimp a la diabla which is kind of her thing and it was out of this world. I got the enchiladas combo. So much food for $ 7 and really tasty.

I have only been here a couple of times, but their food has been delicious both times. The wait is always a short one, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Also, they seem to be open pretty late from what I can tell when I drive by after work late at night, which is a big plus. Last time I went I ordered a carnitas burrito(delicious and fresh!), and my friend ordered some form of burrito but covered in sauce & cheese — I have to go back and get me a wet burrito now, the thing haunts my dreams it looked so good! Good food, good service, what else can ya ask for? Thanks El Pollero!

I found this place after a 3hour drive and getting lost in the Santa Cruz mountains. On my way home– starving– we drove towards the 1st open sign that we seen. As sketchy as this place looked it had really good food and spicy(yet watery) salsa with the chips. I would stop by again, but i would use the drive through– because HOWCOOL is that?

A Pollero is a chicken herder, or another term for a Coyote(immigrant smuggler.) Hoping I was not enabling a criminal enterprise, I decided to try the pollo. Ordered a pollo(of course!) super burrito. Dear god, it was huge. even came with a little salad on the side(Lettuce + tomato slice + thousand island dressing.) The tortilla had been crisped; always a promising sign. Quite delicious; normally I don’t approve of refried beans in a burrito, but they worked here. I liked that they put in slices of jalapeño pepper, and slices of avocado. The burrito was a bit fall apart-y, but given its size, that was inevitable. The chicken was very good — nice and shredded, but mot sopping with oil and juices so many other places end up with. Not too messy. The table salsa came out in what was once a salt/pepper shaker, with the tip widened. Smoky and spicy; not my cup of tea, but I could see how it might work(especially with carne asada.) The chips were thick & hard, giving them less crunch and more chewiness, which one might normally associate with staleness. Overall, the food was reminiscent of El Frijolito; similar refried beans, the salad, the food being brought out to me. Portion size was definitely bigger; but I prefer el Frijo’s chips & salsa. I’ll have to try it again, but I feel it lacked some of el Frijo’s focus and finesse, and perhaps falls too much into the«shotgun» school of mexican food. Finally, they have a drive through(cool) and a very large menu spanning all sorts of different mexican dishes.
