Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites West Des Moines-Jordan Creek

Decent hotel. The staff is nice, when they’re actually at the front desk. Parking is always available and not too far from an entrance. They were out of the breakfast item that I wanted one morning and I left too early to enjoy it the next. So I can’t comment on the food quality.

Stayed overnight last week, and booked through Priceline. Came later night and this was not an issue at all, as check-​in process was smooth and I received a room on the 6^th floor with King Size bed. Bathroom was spacious and had an oversized shower stall. The room was very clean. I did not utilize any of the pool/​fitness/​restaurant facilities, so I cannot vouch for those. Check out went smoothly as well. Worth a stay!

Here currently on a business trip, and very satisfied with my stay. Professional and helpful staff, the rooms are clean and nice.
The breakfast buffet was also satisfactory. Free wifi is definitely a perk (can be slow sometimes but good overall) would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn. They have a nice Italian Steakhouse as well.
Did not visit the pool or gym, looks like the smaller size.
Overall a great stay, my only complaint is the pillows. Haha, should have brought my own.

Very disappointing stay. For what looks like a new and modern hotel with above average pricing I was expecting a lot more. When I walked in and greater by the staff I was expecting a great experience. As I walked to my room I realized that the floors were very filthy. Black in places. My room was clean for the most part but the furniture was very much abused. It was clear this hotel is not kept up or property maintained. If this was a low budget hotel I would not have complained. But for these prices i was greatly disappointed.

I’m currently staying here on a business trip and it’s been excellent. The room was very clean upon arrival. The beds are extremely comfortable, which is a big deal for me. The shower had great water pressure and the massage feature actually worked. The food served at my meetings was very good as well.
However kudos need to be given to the staff. They were friendly and very attentive, even gong out of their way a couple of times to get something for me. As I sit down this morning to type this review the GM of the hotel side walked by and we ended up having a 20 minute conversation and I was able to share my review with him. He was very thankful and it was easy to tell he wanted to take care of the guests.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the West Des Moines area.

Ahh nothing better than staying at a reliable chain that also has been built within the last 5 years. That means newer décor, rooms, and general look and appeal. My stay here was no different than any other Holiday Inn, except it is so new that its very updated and quite beautiful inside. The room had all the amenities I needed (except for a microwave!)
The surrounding area has a lot of typical suburban chains to shop and dine at. Easy to get around.
Oh and wifi is fast! Very nice to get business done and not get kicked off every 5 seconds.

OMG!!! Stay here stat!!! Welcomed with complimentary drinks at the bar! Stayed in a king suite with tons of room! Food at Johnny’s restaurant was amazing at 10pm! Definitely will dart here again! Staff was super classy! Thank you for getting it right Holiday Inn!!!

The rooms are clean and modern and everyone, from front desk to shuttle drivers, are very friendly & helpful and determined to help you enjoy your stay. They genuinely care about your well being and greet you every time you enter the lobby.
I’ve stayed here a couple of times this year and it’s been a wonderful experience each and every time.
They have a free shuttle to pick you up from the airport and take you to other destinations (eating out, work, downtown, etc). Just call them in advance and make arrangements. They will take down your flight info and be waiting out by the curb. Love this service! Normally, the other hotel shuttle services I’ve taken has a «schedule» which might mean that hotel guests are waiting at the curb for the scheduled shuttle to come.
In the morning, they have coffee and fruit (apples, bananas) out in the lobby.
There’s a small gym and indoor pool & hot tub.
There’s a Johnny’s Italian Steak downstairs which has great steaks. Front desk will give you a wine/​drink coupon for the Johnny’s if you are a Holiday Inn member.
The location is great, just 10 – 15 mins from the DSM airport and lots of restaurant/​shopping options just 1 – 2 miles away. The shopping strip just across the parking lot has Trader Joe’s and TJ Maxx. Walmart is nearby too in case you forgot to pack something and need to buy.
I usually don’t get excited to stay at a Holiday Inn but I’m a big fan of this location!

This was the cleanest and most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. After 10 hours of driving, I was greeted with a smile at the front desk. Everything was convenient within the room and vending/​ice was always nearby. I even called friends from the room to tell them how beautiful the hotel was.

This is a nice place.
The staff is pretty nice. Some are more friendly than others. I suppose that is normal.
The facility is modern, with good showers, easy internet, but slightly spongy beds IMO.
They have a busy event facility here, so parking can get scarce sometimes.
The location is hard to beat. You can walk to several places unless you are a lazy ass like most people and drive your car two blocks away. lol

Nice hotel for the price. Lets face it, if you have to be in a town that rhymes with spit-​hole you might as well enjoy it. Clean, nice people and a bar downstairs — what else can you need. The excercise room is nice but the restaurant tastes like a g’dm cuckee cheese without the screaming brats, (plenty of old insurance salesmen) enjoy!

This is the best Holiday Inn I’ve encountered by far. I can see why the players on the PGA Champions Tour choose to stay here during the Principal Charity Classic. Met Hale Irwin in the hallway!
Staff was incredibly helpful, and the place was spotless! Almost didn’t feel like I was in Des Moines.

Excellent customer service!
We arrived after a 10.5hr drive (we were on our way from California to Ohio) and were greeted by very friendly staff. Ross helped us at the front counter and he was very friendly. We had booked a Junior King suite, but we got to our room and it had what looked like a much smaller bed rather than a king. We went to the front desk to double-​check that our reso was correct. Ross apologized for the inconvenience and upgraded us to a two bedroom suite! He was very professional and the upgrade was much appreciated. Comfy bed, extremely clean rooms (both rooms were), and friendly staff.

Very welcoming staff. Extremely clean room and comfy bed. Johnny’s Steakhouse, off of the lobby, also a great place to enjoy a drink. The staff was more than accommodating. After a long drive in bad weather, the manager went above and beyond to make our short overnight stay very pleasant.
