Here’s the thing: you can have the best food on the world and be jerks. You can also have basic food and just be wonderful human beings. Basic and wonderful was my experience here. The food is nothing fancy(although, the fat kid in my heart did a little dance because they offered tater tots). They have a homemade hot salsa for the eggs and the portions are giant. We had a good laugh about people who want lemon in their water. The women running the place were morning people. Super friendly and happy and laughing at 6 am. I can’t tell you how valuable that is to me although I can see how it might be too much for a non-friendly, non-extrovert who want to sit in silence and anonymity. They treated me like a regular even though we had just met and I was leaving town that evening. This is the second cash only diner I have checked out while in Worcester. I nearly passed on it because college hotspots tend to irritate me(due to the college students that accompany universities). I got lucky. With Clark on break, I got to have breakfast among neighborhood regulars. When Clark is in session, I betcha the vibe is totally different.

I so much wanted to love this place. My son goes to Clark, and it is rare that we’re visiting on a day other than a Sunday, so this was the first time we could go. One the plus side, the staff is friendly, the food is fresh and comes quickly, and the price is right. I just wish the food tasted better. Believe me, its not bad, but, just not anything special.

Simply incredible. Wether it’s customer service, the quality of the meal, or the price point. You simply cannot beat annies. I don’t plan on living in Worcester past my schooling, but whenever I’m here this is the restaurant I will be at. Period.

I’m so glad I came here, who knew that such a cute little place could be such a bang for your buck! When I came in they looked busy, but I was quickly seated at the counter and given a menu. The food is very comfort-food like and for very good prices. I can see why college kids love it so much. I got the eggs with cheese, which was really good for what it was and it also came with the best tater tots I’ve ever had. My mother’s tuna sandwich was also very good with plenty of celery and fresh tuna. We were in a bit of a rush but our food came quickly and our waitress was very kind and helpful. Overall, Good food for good prices.

Well, I had expected this to happen when they opened back up, but at the same time was hoping it wouldn’t… Went there this morning, breakfast that before the remodel cost $ 10 now cost $ 14. A FORTYPERCENT increase. I was a semi-regular, but now I will never return here. Yet another instance of a business trying to pass the cost of their remodel/renovation on to the customer. And when the majority of the customers are struggling college students, it makes it particularly despicable. For shame, Annie. For shame.

Annie’s is amazing and the best place you could possible go for a cheap, homely meal. Annie takes care of you. Parents of college students… send your kids to Annies if you are ever worried about them. I had a fried muffin for the first time recently, and I will never not get one. Be sure to tip your waitresses extra because they ALL rock!

Annie’s is the best diner around, hands down. Annie is an incredible cook who runs a perfectly tight ship. She and her daughter Megan don’t put up with anyone’s BS which makes for a very successful, well oiled machine. They love getting to know their customers and regulars and will treat you wonderfully if uou do the same. I consistently get a bacon breakfast sandwich with homefries and it’s always delicious. Ive heard the hash is also great if you’re into spicy food! If you’re in Worcester Annie’s is the place to go, you won’t regret it!

Came In and discovered they only take cash. Dug through our wallets and all we have is $ 13. Then looked at the menu– and that was plenty. Amazing. Good food too. Tasty omelette with homemade hot sauce.

Annie’s is a vital part of Worcester. Located just down the street from Clark University and serving its hungry students, faculty and staff for years, this little diner doesn’t look like much from the outside, but almost every single person who has walked through those doors and ordered a hearty breakfast/brunch/lunch from their simple menu can attest to the fact that they left their tables completely satisfied and looking forward to their next visit. Great take-no-BS staff, friendly, attentive with fairly fast serving times. It’s a little tough to get seating for a group(2+) on Saturdays, but that’s because of the breakfast rush from the college. Awesome food and a simple diner atmosphere, what else could you ask for?

My favorite breakfast place currently in Worcester. The grill chef Annie is a ninja at cooking breakfast… Fast and stealth. Remembers all the regulars meals as well. Order 1 French toast, probably will get 3! Everything made to order you get more than you pay for. Pleasant staff, breakfast made the way you would at home for as inexpensive as if it to do it yourself !!! A must visit!

Sadly always have Annies cravings when they are closed! Good, cheap and fast service. Great spot to brunch with friends, or catch a break before heading to class.

Stopped at Annie’s today before touring Clark. Loved it! Wicked spicy steak hash was super tasty. I had a veggie egg sandwich hot fresh and veggie were nice and crispy. My favorite part was watching all the action– this place was packed!

It was my first time at Annie’s yesterday, and I loved it! The atmosphere was bustling and diverse! It sits right next to Worcester’s Clark University, and is great for the college students who are looking for an enjoyable breakfast. When entering in the restaurant I was greeted by the nice young ladies working the counters. The place was bustling and full and we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. There isn’t too much waiting space, although there is a small bench outside, and a chair in the corner of the store, but either way, we were seated very quickly. Others who also waited after us were seated quickly as well! This was around 11AM on a Saturday morning to give you a feel. We(my boyfriend and I) sat in a booth — there were about I’d say 10 – 15 booths(not really quite sure– but that’s a glimpse of it) along the wall and alot of counters space open next to it. We were seated promptly and greeted by our friendly and upbeat waitress. Service was quick and our waitress was enthusiastic and she knew what she was doing and was very through with our orders! We got our meals within 15 minutes or less, and it was fabulous. The homemade freshness of the ingredients used in my omelets were noticeable, and the portions were big and for a great price, especially for those college students on a budget like me! Throughout our meal we were watered several times in a timely manner which I thought was great because sometimes at other restaurants they never come check on you, or they ALWAYS come check on you, but these ladies know how to do it right. Overall, the space might be a little problem for big groups as I’d like to take my family out here once day, however, it’s great otherwise! Definitely coming back! Great local business.

So great, the wicked spicy streak hash is a must. Small place, our waitress greeted all of the regulars by their first name. Very cozy, fantastic food, very reasonable, great coffee. This is what breakfast should be.

I love Annie’s!!! I’ve been going here regularly over the last year and I feel as if they have really accepted me into their family. Everyone who works there knows me by name and my order. While you may be expected to finish the food on your plate the homie environment is perfect for a college student missing home. I recommend their cheap food because it is delicious and you cannot go wrong with anything you order! Try it you will not be disappointed.

Where do I even start with Annie’s? It is quite the place. I work at a small business, and this is about as cozy and warm-feeling as it gets. Listen people! if you are looking for a snobbish, really expensive, commercial diner, then this is not the place for you. Annie’s is for people who want to really experience hard-working, middle-class Worcester for what it is, and more! The food is really good, the service is outstanding– granted I’m a little biased towards small businesses, and you actually get to see who is cooking your food. It reminds me of home. Despite being small and family-owned, Annie cares about her customers. That’s what I want for a dining experience.

What can’t Annie do? My only gripe is that she folds the hash in with the eggs in an omelette — I could easily resolve this by just ordering it on the side since i love to smash my face open-mouthed into her omelettes. She is nice as is everyone who works there. The motorcycle pictures are cool and the prices are so low a midget could hurdle them.

Basically, I haven’t had a good meal at Annie’s in the four years I’ve been in Worcester. Everyone raves about it non-stop but I’ve had some of the worst breakfasts of my life. My omelets come runny and wet, with mushrooms from a can. You can hear Annie yelling at her daughter and the other waitresses which is a huge turn off. Looking for great breakfasts? Go to Lou Roc’s on West Boylston Street. You’ll have the best meal of your life.
