One of my favorite places to get breakfast, their homefries are my absolute favorite. They have different variety of pastries and treats, the average flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet cupcakes. I recommend the cinnamon rolls/buns. The service could be better, but they do work hard.

My father in law ordered a cake for me from here a week in advance. When he went to pick the cake up at the time he told them he would be there the cake was not ready. They put the cake together as he sat there and waited. He had also brought in a picture of what he wanted the cake to look like which they did not do they made it the way they wanted to. The cake was slopped together quickly and you could totally tell. For a professional bakery this place should be ashamed of how bad the cake looked! I would never get a cake from this place again!

I have really enjoyed coming here each time. The vanilla cupcakes are amazingly good and light in texture which isn’t easy for me to find anywhere else. I have ordered the grilled cheese multiple times and it is very good. The bread is fluffy and buttered more than other places. And it can comes with a side of fries, which are crunchy the way I like. Price is good for what you get and service has always been friendly and helpful.

Since we moved to the area a month ago, everyone has been telling us about this amazing little bakery down the street. We went on a Sunday to get to-go breakfast sandwiches. Bagels were fresh but the sandwiches were just average. The egg wasn’t a fried egg but a huge, disproportionate egg that seemed like it was cooked in a microwave or something. All you could taste was a gross, chewy egg. At a place that serves breakfast, it should have been a nice fried or scrambled egg on the sandwich. The service also took FOREVER. we had to check on our order twice and we are very patient people. It’s almost like they forgot about our order. Even though I won’t be getting another breakfast sandwich, I do love their flavored iced coffee. I like that they have a drive through which makes things easier. And I’m excited to try their pastries or bring a pie or bread to an outing.

Are you kidding me? No menus? You have to order at the counter? Never cleaned table. Coffee and creamers thrown on table. Never asked if we wanted more coffee. No toast with eggs. Food was not that good. No difference in price. Wait staff more concerned with talking to each other and friends who came in. Obviously will not be coming back!!!

A place to go when you don’t want to be guessing on what to eat. For me is the egg, sausage and cheese on a butter toasted seeded roll. Anytime of the day it is a safe bet. Service is nice and prompt. The baked goods are good. Can’t leave without bringing some with me.

Have driven by this place for years and finally decided to stop in for a coffee on my way to rt 146… it strikes me as the type of place local Holy Cross students would frequent – super cheap diner food(complete with counter and stools, all the standard diner fare included), loads of baked goods(an impressive pastry counter, for sure) and plenty of space to sit and hang. I got a coffee(mediocre) and an elephant ear(stellar)…their«flips»(apricot, raspberry & others) look fantastic, as do their cookies, breads and cakes. The décor is dated, but the young ladies behind the counter are kind and seem to know their usuals by name. Definitely worth stopping at for a pastry – probably not the place to bring a date(they are closed by 5 or 6pm every day, anyways)…but not disappointing at all.

Culpepper’s — what the hell are you doing? It seems like you are purposely doing things to sabotage your own business. I would like to come back here but I won’t because it is so poorly managed. Ordering your breakfast at the line at the register before sitting down? Then when your food is finally done, 40 minutes later, the employees walk around yelling your name — whaaaat!!! I feel like this is managed by a 10 year old. Ridiculous is putting it mildly. This is complete and utter idiocy. I’ve been in the restaurant business for 33 years. If you want to stay in business AND make more money, call me. Because at this rate, you will be out of business in a year. I can help you if you want to make money, you’re sitting on a gold mine but you are really screwing it up.

I’ve only had the cake, which is delicious. Or more specifically, the frosting is the best I’ve had in quite a while. They do the vanilla butter cream just right. That’s the most important part. For the cake itself, they only offer white and chocolate. I wish they offered yellow and some other varieties, and the cake was a bit dry.

Came here are a few months ago and got a really great breakfast. Had a bad experience with the server and many dirty tables and stayed away for a few months to see if It could get back on track. Just went in today and it was busy, tried to order the holy cross home fries to go but first I was told the fryalator wasn’t turned on I would have to wait. Then I was told it was being cleaned and I would have to wait a long time if I wanted to? Really? It’s 830 in the morning and you would think the fryalator would be on at the start of the day to run a good business. But I guess my order wasn’t important enough. Not sure if I’ll be back. Bakery items are wonderful but now I’ve been burned. Ouch.

Went yesterday and brought home Blueberry Scones(a dozen), they were delicious. We only have 3 left today ! We also got cupcakes and cream puffs. Everything was heavenly, can’t wait to go back and try a few more things. The kids had turkey sandwiches while they were there. They said it was real turkey, not processed and the sandwiches were awesome…

Breakfast review: not impressed. I love their baked goods, so I guess I was expecting a little more. It wasn’t so much the food. The food was good. It was the service or lack of service. I was turned off immediately when I had to order at the register before sitting down. Really? Ok… Offered my omelet and cup of coffee and sat down. They only had sugar on the table, so I had to get back up to ask for some Splenda. Omelet came out and is delivered to my table… Looks great. Waitress leaves… Oh, I need ketchup… I have to get up to get my ketchup. So the breakfast was good… Now my coffee is empty, and no one asked if I wanted more until I was getting my stuff together to leave. I guess if you sit at the bar, you might get better service… But when I go out to breakfast, I kind of expect a few things… Sugar alternative on the table, and endless coffee without asking. This place has been here forever, and I doubt they will change their ways anytime soon… So I will not be eating breakfast here again.

This place is a quaint small establishment where YOUCANHEAREVERYTHING. The girls at the desk are always attentive. This time I decided to give a call ahead so that the I just just stop in and go. So I got there there was one other guy who hadn’t gotten his food yet. Waited 10 minutes.(Breakfast sandwiches usually take about 5 mins keep in mind I called ahead.) I asked the girl to «peek and see if he’s started my sandwich if not I’ll just go.»(I’ve worked as a waitress and know how temperamental kitchen staff can be.) She looked. Told the chef I was on my way to work. And his response«I DON’T CARE!» That’s when I walked out. That man with those 3 words was the epitome of bad service.(I’m also very sure that he knows that you can hear everything.) As for the girl she could have just peeked told me he has lots of tickets, gave me some coverup, and offered me a Danish or something else. I would have been fine.

Very crowded and popular which is a good sign but not so fun if you aren’t interested in waiting in a big pile of people for your order. Prices are a bit hefty for the bakery items. Great selection though. We had a tough time deciding. We ended up going with a breakfast bagel and two bakery items. The bagel was just so so. The egg didn’t taste good at all and they did that annoying thing where they just put cheese on one side and overcook the second half of the bagel. Not a fan of that. The piece of apple strudel didn’t remind me of a traditional strudel and wasn’t that good. The apricot danish, however, was off the charts good. I’d go back and buy five of those and nothing else. Very yummy. The breakfasts they were serving looked hearty but with limited seating and so many people that really wasn’t an option for us.

ive never warned you about this place? ha! ive been here ooo maybe 3 or 4 times in the years ive worked in this hole, every time its been a huge pain in my ass. poor service is a great place to start, maybe the 10 minutes i waited for a BAGELWITHFREAKINCREAMCHEESE this morning i had to wait, sorry boss, i was late to work because the mongoloids at culpeppers couldnt get their act together. lets face it, the bagel/baked goods, there not even that good. yes, they are better than dunks, but it doesnt take them 10 minutes for a bagel. also, that bagel, they didnt even get it right, so im stuck with someone else’s breakfast, so my bagel wasnt even READY! in the ten minutes i had to wait. holy h e double hockey, shame on you culpeppers, actually, do what ever you want, im NEVER going back.

Visiting Worcester we drove by Culpeppers. Something called out to me(I now know it was the chocolate dipped almond crescents) and I made the BF turn around and go back. The girl at the counter was waiting on someone which gave us time to peruse the bakery cases. She did allow some pushy woman who came in after us to just jump in front of us. She really should have pointed out to the woman that we were there first and she’d be right with them. We got a big box full of assorted goodies. All were at least good but some were spectacular. The BF really loved the coffee roll. I thought it was pretty good but not amazing. Those chocolate dipped almond crescents though … oh damn were they good. I actually caught the BF stealing a bite of mine and had to finish it right then so he wouldn’t! I can’t wait for my next trip to Worcester to grab some more fine offerings from that bakery counter.

My wife, daughter and myself dropped by Culpeppers Sunday morning, on the way to Mass on October 2. The establishment is extraordinarily unorganized. There is no signage to tell new customers, that are unfamiliar with their restaurant, on how/where/when to order. The menu is very hard to read as you are standing in line to order. No one gives you a table number nor do they ask your name. The waitress simply wanders around looking for you with your order getting cold. After a 30 + minute wait for two simple orders, the food was put on the table with only half the silverware. I waited for someone to return for help. I finally went up to the counter and stood for another 2 – 3 minutes and was told there was NOMORECLEANSILVERWARE and was given plastic. The food was not even mediocre. It was my third time there and I will not return.

Oh Culpeppers… If you are looking for a spotless restaurant where the staff is exceptional, super attentive and always kind. then I tell you to keep looking… BUT, if you are looking for a delicious & inexpensive diner-type breakfast. then I’ll tell you now, to make a visit to Culpeppers. Walk yourself right in and find an open booth or spot at the counter, between the hustle and bustle of people eating and the uncleared tables. Get settled and be prepared to normally sit and wait for a bit before someone either notices you or feels like coming over to take your order. But once you pick something from their board-menu your meal will be out in no time! Take a second and breathe it in. your eggs, homemade hash-browns, french toast, pancakes, toast, sausage, ham or bacon… you will be drooling. Their hash-browns are TODIEFOR! I fall in love with them every time I order them. Nervous about skipping out on your regular chain coffee shop iced coffee? Worry no more. I was extremely surprised and delighted when I ordered their Regular Iced Coffee. It wasn’t watered down, bland, too sweet or «old» it was perfect. kudos, Culpeppers! Anyone who knows me would be shocked that I’d visit a place that isn’t clean or the staff is less than nice but I must say, all in all Culpeppers is a place to visit, you leave satisfied both tummy and pocketbook-wise! I will see you soon dear Culpeppers! Until we meet again! NiNi M.
