The place is dimly lit and somewhat utilitarian, but the breads are really good. The pastries are IMO more attractive than tasty, no match for fine Italian or French pastries, but the Polish goodies are really good. The breads are the best.

This is a great bakery! But remember it’s Kosher! Great rye bread and challah bread. The jelly donuts are off the hook good. They are called pazcki in Polish pronounced«Punch — key». No butter cream here but everything is amazingly good. We bring stuff to take back to NY when we visit the kids at school! Don’t miss this one!

A Polish/Jewish bakery, really good challah bread! But not every type of bread(my favorite being the raisin challah) is baked every day, though usually friday/saturday is a good bet. I’m neither Polish nor Jewish myself so I can’t speak of «authenticity», but I do like my bread. They also make interesting eclairs – «interesting», I mean I really like them, not for the pâté a choux part(eh), but for the mystifying cream filling. It’s not pastry cream, not whipped cream, definitely not French… I also like the huge fudgy brownies. The cookies, cheesecake and apple dessert I find unremarkable, but maybe because I’m looking for something different. I go here for the challah bread, so do Polish/Jewish locals, and you should too.
