We usually just come in for the pastries, which are always amazing! Today we decided to sit and have a quick breakfast. Well I won’t do that again! I mean the food was ok, but nothing special. The service(or lack there of) was poor. I get people are busy/multitasking, but that’s no excuse to be rude. I’ll still stop in for cookies or pastry, but never again to eat in.

Great Place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is comfort food for sure. Breakfast is always good and April is probably the nicest waitress you could ever have to wait on your table. She always has a smile on her face and is so helpful and polite. What a joy to have someone wait on a table like that. Food is consistently good and now that the place has been renovated with more seating it is pack on Sat and Sunday mornings. We have breakfast there a least 3 times a week and it is always busy with customers. Great place with good prices and good food.

This is a cute breakfast joint that apparently is run by a family, I think it is all the sisters and the mom who work there. They have a bakery and breakfast in the joint. They also make customized cakes which are on display along with a ton of house made breads, etc. my guy and I stopped by for breakfast sandwiches to fuel our gym visit(a good justification for a breakfast date) and were quickly greeted after we sat and served coffee. We ordered and within maybe seven minutes our sandwiches were out. They were hot and tasty. My man got sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin and I got bacon, egg and cheese on a grilled bulkie. Good place for a quick stop for a bite. We also got some baked snacks for after our gym. I’ll update on my peanut butter mousse bar later :)

I ordered a specialty cake for a bridal shower. The end creation were 60 cupcakes in the shape of a bridal gown, complete with a sparkly silver sash. It was perfect! The guests took numerous pictures of the cake and raved about how beautiful it was.(The cupcakes and icing were delicious as well). Anyone planning a bridal event should check this out!

Excellent haddock — both baked and fried! Very adorable place and people! Baked goods that make you want them all. So yummy! I am sure everything is great! You can’t go wrong here! Get off the Pike — it’s a short distance and worth it! A place with a strong family history. These are the places that make America so great!

Its not gourmet food but its fresh and served up hot and quick. Never been to the old one when it was open but its definitely got an old school feel to the place. Breakfast was good but nothing to rave about. Service is good and attentive but overall blandness to both food and baked goods. I’ll keep in mind for corporate functions because the prices looked good for catering a breakfast. What I do like is this store always helps out the community and will let anyone post a lost dog flyer, promotional cards, or even let the boy scouts hang out and sell their pop corn outside. The local love Gives me a warm n fuzzy. I’ll be back.

Loved the down home feel. My soup and salad were good. The burger was kind of bland. Our service was friendly. A little disappointed with our bakery items. I’d give them another shot though, if we find ourselves in the area. Looks like a place the locals like a lot.

So my girlfriend wants to go. I told her it’s not my favorite place, but I will go. We ordered pancakes. We take one bite and there was clearly something wrong as they tasted sour. Rancid. I mean rancid. So we tell the waitress, and she says, «no wonder no one has eaten their pancakes today». We paid for our drinks and left. I will never eat there again

I have had there breakfeast and on a scale of 10 it’s a 9. 9…(OK10). Very very GOOD!!! The bacon is nice and thick and the home fries are unbelievable. Home made bread and the coffee has a great flavor plus they run lunch specials that taste equally as well. I’ve had there open turkey sandwich and it was a 10 … I’m waiting for the Dennis cook to make it again. ITWASSOYUMMY!!! Great place to eat with good prices… Beats fast food plus a lot of other places in the area. The food comes out EXTREMELYFAST too !!!

Been craving the classic tomato soup and grilled cheese meal so called up the restaurant to place my order. Placed and the guy repeated it as well. All set. Get there to pickup it was just a box and no bowl, so I look in the box it was grilled cheese with tomato on the sandwich. Mistakes happen no biggy. Tell them about and the guy is grumbling(the cook who also took my order). Remade the sandwich and got the soup… however as the girl was pouring the soup it was very very chunky. So I ask when she brings it over ‘that is tomato right?’ ‘Yes’ Get to work to have lunch not so much tomato as it was minestrone… same thing I guess? If they didn’t have it that’s fine but not even close to the same thing. At least the crackers were good.

Stopped in for a take-out egg and cheese on a muffin, so this is not as full review. Very cute spot for breakfast with a diner feel but also a bakery; the pastries look outstanding(though I did not try any.) Counter girl was very friendly. Sandwich was solid. Would love to come back and dine-in.

I’ve been for breakfast a couple times for one thing… Biscuits and gravy. That’s hard to find in Massachusetts. It is delicious. Biscuits melt in your mouth. Service was decent, nothing to write home about, but not horrid. You have to go up to the register to pay, but that’s what happens at Gold Star too, so its not unheard of. I’ve never had anything else here, but I also feel like this is a «regular» place, like a lot of regulars go in there

Is zero stars an option? :-P I’ve been here twice. A friend brought me a couple of months ago for Sunday breakfast. I liked it at first because there was no wait for seating at all(as you know, you have to wait for seating anywhere on Sunday for breakfast). But I soon figured out why there is no wait — nobody wants to eat here. First Visit: The food is ok, at best. Certainly nothing special, even for breakfast foods. The service was horrible. Wait forever for your coffee — never got any refills because I was basically fed and ditched. Had to scrounge our own supplies from other tables. Actually, had to scrounge our own menus from other tables. We had to go up to the counter and pay without a slip, because we were waiting forever for the check. We just wanted to leave. Second Visit was yesterday. We live right nearby and had a lot to do this day, so we figured ‘eh let’s try them again maybe they’ve improved’. Well, I can’t tell you how the food was — we went in and sat down and waited for 15 minutes without so much as a hello. No ‘we’ll be right with you’ no ‘here are some menus’ no ‘would you like some coffee’. NOTHING. Though it’s not like they didn’t see us. We made plenty of awkward eye contact with every member of the staff. They just didn’t care. After we timed 15+ minutes we walked out and went elsewhere to the nearby Post Office Pub breakfast buffet as we were really time crunched now.(see my PO Pub review if you like, lol) My guess is they may be a fine bakery(not sure — I never tried their baked goods) but they have no business serving meals. None.

We ordered my baby shower cake from Mrs. Mack’s for a few reasons. I have heard the cakes are delicious, they are very close by, open on Sundays(when the shower was held), and their prices are reasonable. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I brought in a picture of my shower invitation, featuring Babar the elephant, told them what I wanted, and was able to call back to change the time we needed the cake without any problems. When we picked up the cake, I was very pleased with the end result. I am posting a picture to show you Unilocalers. This was definitely not a grocery store cake, which I cannot stand. The flavor of the chocolate cake and the buttercream frosting were excellent. And even my husband, who does not particularly enjoy frosting, loved the cake. The half sheet cake was with the Babar design was $ 46.00 and well worth it. The only other thing I’ve had from here was a blonde brownie and I liked that as well. I can’t speak for any of the non-dessert food at Mrs. Mack’s, but I hope to eat here for breakfast with my husband and baby soon. One more thing, they’re only open until 2 pm everyday, so you might either have to go in the early morning or on a weekend.
