Typical Michael’s, parking sucks, bathrooms aren’t the cleanest, shelves seem to be well stocked, usually one cashier, download retail me knots coupons before going in, well worth it. Small classrooms, activities for kids are not worth paying for and spending time on.

Come here sometimes to browse whenever they have sales, but wished they hired more staff so its easy accessible for me to locate them. Its literally that hard. Like only 1 – 2 cashiers available… 1 at the back by the frame counter, and about 1 – 2 just wondering around re-stocking/re-arranging art supplies. Keep in mind, they are hard to find, and easiest place to find help is at the cash register to page where ever the associates is at. Which makes me more inconvenient for me to walk all the way there, when I’m all the way over here. Namm sayinn… UGH!

I can summarize my experience. The person working in the yarn section said she doesn’t know about yarn because it feels yucky in her hands.

Good store for holiday decorations and school supplies Watch the clearance isle for hidden items. The store can get cluttered but staff does what it can to keep up with it.

While I like Michael’s, the only reason I shop at this location is because there’s not really any other store that sells the type of baking equipment/cake boxes/decorating items that I need on a weekly basis(in the area). The customer service is great though sometimes you have a hard time finding an employee to help you locate an item. Price-wise, they are a bit steep for my taste and mostly because I need to purchase packaging on a regular basis… but then again, there’s no other place in town, so they’ve got us over a barrel. Not intentionally, I don’t suppose, but nonetheless. The store is clean, well maintained and pretty organized. In keeping with the Yuba City area ‘lack of selection’ mantra, your choices are rather limited in-store, but otherwise they’re doing a good job. :)

I have to say if it wasn’t for my daughters I probably would never have entered Michaels! Every time they have a project for school, or they want duct tape to make their little purses I come here! Michaels also has an app for smartphones which has coupons, and I use it whenever I can. Service is always friendly AND helpful! Thank you Michaels!!!

Small Aisles, messy shelves, and workers who seem to mostly try to avoid you. This is one of, if not the only, craft stores in Yuba City. Their coupons are also kind of a joke too. They have a lot of stipulations on what they can and can not be used on. Its a wreck On a better note, they always have what I’m looking for. I’m a fairly crafty person. They have the dyes I use to tie dye, the paints and brushes I use, various types and sizes on canvas, cake decorating, scrapbooking, yarn, ribbons, fake flowers, framing department, and pretty much anything I see on a craft show too. You just have to be willing to spend the time to find it yourself in the store. While messy, the store is laid out nicely and pretty well organized overall.

Visited store in Yuba City while seeing family. Memorial weekend sale was great but the cashier would not honor our military ids or coupons off ipad. Missed a great discount on the total sale. Bummers and sad for the military who might of tried to get that benefit during the weekend. SL

I’m not a crafter; I paint watercolors and oils. I like to display my work and sometimes enter art shows or contests. For the third time in 4 months, this place has failed to meet the timeline for framing that they set. I know they outsource the building of frames –hence the two week wait – but, they consistently don’t get around to finishing my pieces unless I call and go in to complain. They’ve given me conflicting stories about why they don’t get it done so I assume they are just lying. This is a real problem when I’m preparing for a show. After this last time, I don’t think I’ll be going there for framing.

Ohh I love this store! It’s a crafters heaven… unless you want fabric. But that’s what Joann’s is for right? They always have a vast supply of a little bit of everything. The store is huge, and most of the staff is helpful & knowledgeable. The store is always clean & isles clear. Sign up to receive email coupons! I wouldn’t buy anything that wasn’t on sale or that I didn’t have a coupon to use. Its obvious is there is always a sale or always a 40% off coupon that things are over priced. But I can always find what I need.

I’ll be honest when I say I’m not a huge«crafty» person but this is an excellent choice for those who are. This location is large and they have a good selection on pretty much everything you could ask for. The prices are so-so and the service is pretty non-exisitant but the cashiers are nice when you’re ready to pay. One note though,(and the reason for 3 stars) do NOT get your framing done here. They are insanely pricey but more importantly they do not hire professional framers. These are kids who watched a 15 minute video. I have seen some true butchery done to artwork so beware.

I probably went to Michael’s about 15 times in the 3 months leading up to my wedding. I was super lucky to have my mom and mother in law make many of the decorative elements for my wedding. Here is a list of things we made from materials purchased at Michaels: Felted Hair Clips for the flower girls, Paper and Sticks for Pinwheels for centerpieces, paper bags for flowers to hang off the pews, Martha Stewart paper for signage, Foam board for seating charts, lots and lots of ribbon, t shirts and iron on letters to make personalized shirts for the bridesmaids, crystals to personalize flasks, tissue paper for pompoms and did I mention I bought all of my wedding invitations on clearance and extra 25% off. The postage cost more than my great invitations. Here are my tips for shopping at Michaels. Never pay full price, sign up on the website and you will always get a 25% off coupon for your purchases. Also scour your local paper and get the 40% coupons, there is no reason to pay the actual price, but if you forget your coupon, bring back your receipt with the coupon the next time you go to the store and they will adjust it. It can get crowded on the weekends, go during the week to save time in lines. And last but not least do not forget to check the clearance aisles, they have all sorts of treasures when the seasons change.
