Dropped in for lunch while waiting for my room to be ready. The pot of haddock chowder was pretty great. I also got a sandwich that came with a small salad and chips. Overall, it’s an okay little hotel restaurant and bar. Not particularly worth going out of your way, but not a bad place to grab a bite and a drink if you are at the hotel and don’t feel like leaving.

Cables is the bar off the lobby of the Hilton Belfast. I spent two weeks in the hotel for work and most evenings a co-worker, who was also staying there, and I would stop in for a drink after we had been out to dinner. Great service. Tasty menu. Fun vibe for a hotel bar. Seemed to be quite the stop for many people getting their evening clubbing started. We did lots of fun people watching over a Joker Lolly or two

I’ve frequented this bar a few times, before a show at the Waterfront, or afterwards, if we are feeling a little peckish… or thirsty! With modern interior design and cozy booth areas, one in particular next to a double sided open fire which is lovely in the winter, this place is a nice nook to settle down with friends and enjoy a few drinks. The bar food from the snack menu isn’t bad either, a choice of paninis, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, lasange and more. It’s a little on the pricey side for bar food, but its probably to be expected in a hotel bar. There can be a bit of a wait for food at times if it’s busy — not sure if this is a problem with the kitchen keeping up with demand or not enough wait staff out front, but the food was of good enough quality when it arrived. Not an amazing night out, but suitable enough if you are killing time before a show.
