The food is outstanding, service is fantastic and menu will suit anyone’s taste
CarGoes is a small Café Bistro situated on the vibrant Lisburn Road. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch plus serve a bistro menu on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
It’s a lovely bright little restaurant with the added bonus of BYOB. The staff were welcoming and friendly without being overbearing.
We will definitely become regulars here and looking forward to my next trip. For a friendly local restaurant Cargoes is hard to beat. Great spot.

Great spot for cheap ‘bring your own bottle’ meal but don’t expect much from the food. The starter was actually lovely. I had the brandy pâté and my wife had the Caesar salad. But the mains were simply bland. My burger was particularly dry and difficult to eat. Nevertheless the staff we’re excellent and it was a very cheap night!

In my opinion the best place for a fry on the Lisburn road in the morning. Food is a really high standard and the service was excellent. I recommend the mini breakfast as the right start to the day and all for a very good price.

I’ve been to Cargoes three times over the last couple of years. Each time with a Wine Group I’m in — so a large party of nearly 30 of us book this bistro up fully. They are great for dealing with large parties and private functions. We do always pre-​order our food though. I’ve really enjoyed eating in Cargoes — the food is delicious and they often change their menu so there is good variety. It’s a lovely bright little restaurant which is also BYOB. Looking forward to my next trip to Cargoes. Great spot.

I went here one time to grab a bite to eat with a friend and was pretty disappointed! There wasn’t anything to bad with the food, it was just a little to greasy for my liking. Some kind of strange oil that really should have been on my food! The staff were great and offered to replace it for me but I’m far to polite to ever accept and just powered through. I’m sure this was a one off as my friends food was perfectly cooked. I will be back to try it again, everyone deserves a 2nd chance!

Cargoes is a great little café based on the Upper Lisburn Road. They offer a wide range of things including Breakfast, Lunch, Cakes and Pstries and everything is homemade. I came up here solely to try their award winning breakfast. It was priced at £5.95 and it was very nice. However I’ve had just as good Breakfasts in Maggie Mays or the Other place for less. But it was goos and they also offer a poached egg bagel which I mus t say I’m tempted to go back and try.
I came back again to try the lunch menu and was glad I did! The server told me that these change daily and I seen that a chilli beef wrap was on offer and decided to look no futhur… mmmm. It was so yummy! They also offer salads and sandwiches too. They also do outside catering and I’m guessing that it the quality here is anything to go by it will be really great too!
