Absolutely disgraceful behaviour by a waitress this afternoon at Dante’s. We were in the Crescent Arts Centre and were directed to wait for 10 minutes in the Dante’s Café. As soon as we sat down the waitress was angrily watching us, but since I was directed to wait there, I didn’t take any notice. Five minutes went by, and my 5 year old daughter had a sip of her juice. And suddenly, the waitress came running over screaming ‘You didn’t buy that it here! You cannot drink that in here!’ She was staring at us the entire time, waiting for my child to take a sip of juice so she could yell. Sometimes people who make minimum wage just feel the need to boss others around to feel more powerful. It’s a shame she is so insecure in herself she needs to yell at small children like this. I often visited the shop on the Lisburn Road, while waiting to collect my children from school, but I certainly won’t be back to this place anytime soon. But if you’re looking for someone to scream at your small children for taking a sip of juice, this is your place!

This is the best sandwich shop i have come across. They have loads of lovely fillings to chose from, and they usually have a daily special as well so you can always get something different. They do salad bowls as well, and there usually two types of soup on offer. if you get the chance try the butternut squash soup, its is so tasty. The portions aren’t massive but they are still filling and while the prices are a little higher than other shops nearby the quality and taste makes it well worth it. I think they moved premises recently to the lisburn road, so i’m not sure if the stranmillis store is still open.
