Amazing find in Belfast. 4 days into being a vegan and I was really struggling. Add in a hangover — not a good mix. Found this place through a Unilocal search and we got a taxi there with our sorry heads. Faith in veganism restored. Everything we had was amazing and inspired me to keep going! I had gluten free brown bread, spread with mashed guacamole and topped with pickled cabbage slaw and coriander. Delish. My friend had roast chickpea«Caesar» salad made with cashew cheese. Amazing!

Has to be given 5 stars until proved otherwise. Could not fault food, shop or service. Was here for a breakfast business networking event. Got free coffee and breakfast. Staff where nice. Food was nicely flavoured. Would like I try their deserts to see how they compare with the more sugared alternatives. Shop is warm, bright and friendly. You can sit in or take away. Have several sweets and also savoury options.

Today I made my first visit to Raw Food Rebellion(for ease I’m going to refer to it as RFR from now on) and I have to say I was extremely impressed. The whole vibe of the place is clean and minimal — even the way they arrange their goods is minimal. Not being a vegan or even a veggie I didn’t think I’d appreciate RFR but this couldn’t have been further from the truth. I was actually in today to purchase treats for 2 vegan Unilocalers, all this is new to me so I wasn’t too sure on what they could and couldn’t have. With this in mind I decided to skip the guessing and ask the experts. So I approached the counter and asked the friendly assistant which of the sweet treats were suitable for vegan’s. Turns out that everything is! You should have see their offerings — mouth watering. I was unbelievably impressed by RFR — Belfast has been crying out for a a place like this. Now I can see what all the hype is about. I am already planning my next visit, but this time I will be sure to sit in and savour the laid back atmosphere.

Hey Folks, you probably haven’t seen a review from me on Unilocal in a while, but a good reason stands behind that fact. I decided to go vegan and have been keeping this lifestyle since. The sad news; its quite hard to have a good meal out thats suitable and arent just chips, rice or salad. Raw Food Rebellion has a well thought through, fresh, exciting menu, that not only accommodates vegan options, but has each one of their dishes and treats made from the best vegan and gluten free ingredients, and can assure you that you treat your body with the most excellent fuel you possibly can. The menu itself changes quite often, so we can enjoy all the new recipes and its possible to have your meal take-out, so happy days: healthy, home cooked, vegan lunch sorted for the working ones! :D Today i have tried the delicious Milky Way cheesecake which has a coconuty taste to it two layers of different chocolate flavoured, super smooth cheesecake paste and a lovely crumbly biscuit base. Of course i got two slices though, :D the second one is a chai spiced cheesecake that is a perfect blend of spiced cinnamon and chai flavour with white biscuit base i think with nuts in the base as well for the crunch. These were to takeaway, and got two of the Mylk chocolate orange, and banana drinks as well that is a lovely little dairy free drink. Definitely try the service is amazing and the staff is helpful and friendly with true passion and genuine kindness! Thank you!

This place is amazing! Everything is vegetarian, dairy free and delicious. So far I’ve tried the chickpea salad, the tacos and a raw caramel cake — all have been amazing. Plus there’s a lovely laid back atmosphere and the staff are lovely. I will return…

Great coffee and food. Beautiful interior. No cow’s milk! So brave in Belfast, but hopefully a sign of things to come. Definitely recommend.

It’s about time an eatery such as Raw Food Rebellion(RFR) opened in Belfast. Up until now we’ve probably been the only major European city without a dedicated vegetarian café. Indeed we have the awesome Giro’s but unfortunately it has opened and closed over the years. Although Giro’s still operates today, sadly it’s opening hours are intermittent. However RFR is not just a vegetarian café, it’s vegan. Nevertheless, you don’t have to be either vegan or vegetarian to eat there and enjoy it. The food is of an exceptionally high quality made from the finest, purest, organic ingredients. I visited today and absolutely LOVEDRFR. The menu is not huge, however I would’ve happily eaten EVERYTHING listed. After much deliberation I opted for a roast chickpea salad of kale and romaine lettuce topped with hummus, roast nuts and a creamy dressing. It was heavenly; delicious, rich, fresh, nutty and original. Without doubt the best salad I’ve ever eaten. For afters I indulged in a trio of sweet things; a chocolate peanut butter cup, a hazelnut chocolate bliss ball and a seeded caramel bliss ball. Devine desserts. RFR itself is a cosy, chilled little café with a clean, warm feel. I love the fact the napkins are made from 100% recycled paper. Staff are a delightful pleasure to deal with and there’s free wifi and seriously fine coffee served as well. This café is as close to ideal as you’ll get — PERFECTION. I hope it’s with us for many years to come.

I stopped in here for lunch today and what a nice surprise. A vegan restaurant at the nice end of the lisburn rd. This was actually recommended by a local business owner. I decided to have the tacos with Cup of soup, while my partner had the detox salad with soup. The tacos were beautiful, with spiced black beans, guacamole and shredded red cabbage and the soup was spiced sweet potato and tomato. It was very very tasty. I had a wee taste of the raw detox salad as well which was brimming with nuts seeds and fresh veg. Also rather good. I’d definitely eat here again but it’s a tiny bit limited in menu, though I saw they were advertising for a chef so this may change in the future. Also the food was great value but they have bottled raw juices and I got one. At 3 pounds I thought it was very dear for the small ammount that you got. I’d reccomend water or tea instead. Overall great we place with nice food and good to see a vegan good food place to pit stop. Staff friendly and nice surround. I’ll up this to 5 star of they expand the menu.
