Wow, what a truly amazing place. We had a party of 5& reserved near the bar for our birthday celebration. Almost everyone ordered the large burgers, where you can choose what to include w your meat. Sooooooo delicious. The rattlesnake ciders were delicious too. I would have loved to have bought the glass as a souvenir. Great snake. The highlight of the evening was listening to the local group Boscastle Buoys. Great singing of songs from Cornwall, sung w heart, cheers, smiles. .. This was a completely memorable meeting. The service also was excellent. Can’t wait to return.

A very pleasant pub situated at the top of the hill in Boscastle, the Napoleon Inn offers good, quality dinner fare and three lovely gardens in the back. My partner and I dined at the Napoleon on our first night in Boscastle and found ourselves at a cosy table in the front room. I was a bit put off by the numerous cobwebs that hung in each corner and the fact that the elderly woman behind me had to ask the waiter five times for her order(she even went up to the bar twice in an act of desperation). The food, however, was well done; I enjoyed a very nice appetizer that consisted of crisps and dip, followed by a smartly cooked piece of fish. A word of caution, however: be sure to ask whether your fish has been filleted! We shared a rather bland piece of pie for dessert. The highlight of the Napoleon Inn, however, was the live music in the back room of the bar. We had the pleasure of listening to Tim Carter, a very talented local musician with a love of American country music. We had a wonderful time talking to Tim and listening to his songs — if you have the opportunity to see him play, I strongly recommend you do so. The Napoleon Inn’s web site contains a list of the entertainers performing each month.
