Friendly staff, free wifi, ATM, dogs welcome, food 9 – 9, they even have accommodation! Perhaps a little cheesy with the tourist bent, but the car park is reasonably priced, as is the food. Which is decently portioned traditional pub fare. They even have gluten-free options. They serve Tintagel brewery ales which are nice. This was our last stop on my Corwall birthday weekend and it was a perfect end.

I really like the King’s Arms as a place to stay for a couple of days while walking the coastal path. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and bright, and a big breakfast is included. In the bar downstairs the Castle Gold beer is to die for and all of the menu items have been great, inducing the Cod and Chips, Steak and Ale Pie, and the ploughman’s.

Having visited Tintagel a few days previous we had noticed this pub and decided we would make the journey from where we were staying(nr Wadebridge) one evening for a meal. First impressions were of a lively pub filled with locals and tourists, mingling together. A couple of Tintagel real ales later we ordered their surf and turf. It arrived very quickly and the young guy serving us obviously loved his work. All ‘smiles and earoles’ as we say in the East End of London. The meal was brilliant. Loads of surf and the turf melted in the mouth. All this for a shockingly low price. If you are looking for good plentiful food then this pub is the ‘bees knees’(haven’t lived in the East End for years but you never lose it LOL).One thought for you out there with dogs. dogs are welcome in the pub.

Friendly staff. Seems like a neighborhood hang-out. As a pub for locals, 3.5 stars. As a restaurant, 2 stars(large portions, relatively bland, heavy – but it’s primarily a pub after all). As a tourist stop, 2 stars.
