I had a Sunday breakfast here. Which was very nicely prepared. The café is quite small with 4 tables. The lady that served us was very friendly. They put on quite a varied menu. For a group of 5 we had to wait a while for cooked breakfast. Eating here I’d describe as a cute Brighton experience

A great spot for work lunches the staff are friendly and helpful, the food choices are healthy and delicious and every day they have a copy of both a red top and broadsheet paper for perusing while waiting for your food. I would highly recommend getting a jacket spud with houmous, goats cheese and roasted veg. This was my staple for about 3 months. And it’s a decent sized spud too — more than enough to fill a working belly.

I’m kinda likin’ it. Home made sandwiches & baguettes with a whole food feel alongside smoothies n’ juices & teas & soups with change-out-of-a-fiver! This is a pleasant café not far from the beach, nice Ikea-esque interior too.

There is always so much to chose from in this light and cosy sandwich shop tucked away on Ship St. They have a menu with tantalising twists of old classics and a great meal deal that includes a sandwich, crisps and a drink. The service is always spot on, very friendly and efficient and always patient when you can’t seem to make up your mind. Besides the menu on offer, you can of course make your own sandwich from their selection of fresh ingredients displayed in their cabinet. It’s not their ingredients that are the best thing about this place, it’s their always fresh choice of breads that is the reason that makes this sandwich place so popular.

I used to visit ReDeli a lot: I was working in the area, and my bosses swore by it. In an area such as the Lanes, which is chock-a-block with similar sandwich/bistro/working-lunch places, that’s quite a compliment to make, and in this case, deservedly so: ReDeli is a very nice little place. The food is very well made, fresh and on-the-spot, and their selection is pleasantly varied and, by and large, a very healthy collection of choices. Considering how similar ReDeli is to much of its local competition, it is impressive how often people mention it as the place for a working lunch. To be fair, its selection isn’t as rich and overwrought as TFI Lunch nearby, nor anything further towards Market Street, but the many healthy options on the menu are quite the enticement. When you spend most of the day sitting at a desk, a fruit juice smoothie may seem like a good option! As well as the healthy-living angle, Redeli seems to pride itself on offering a little bit of everything: you can get sandwiches, baguettes, paninis, toasties, crisps, chocolate, nuts, coffee, smoothies, juice… The list is endless. I was never more adventurous than the baguette or the panini, but you could also come back to Redeli week-in/week-out and order different choices each time: another good option for a working-lunch joint. Redeli are doing everything right: huge, healthy choice, nice little bar, well-staffed and looked after place… If anything breaks the spell, its the prices. They are by no means unreasonable, but every working-lunch place hikes the prices to catch out all of the people working in their area. This is understandable, but still a reason to go somewhere cheaper(and choice is endless locally) for anything that Redeli offers. If I’m working in the area, Redeli will always be my port of call, but now that I work from home I rarely think I should travel for what they offer.

Redeli is a great café, that offers more than your usual ‘coffee, tea and sandwich’ affair. There’s soft drinks, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, baguettes, paninis, salad, crisps, smoothies, freshly pressed juice, coffee and tea, and the prices of all items are affordable. A sandwich will cost you £2.85 — and if you don’t like their selection you can build your own-, a baguette £3.25, and a panini £3.85; jacket potatoes cost £2.55 with one filling, and £3.15 with two; croissants go for 95p, pastries £1.25, coffee £1.50-£2, smoothies £2.45, teas £1.20, and you can pick up a baguette, crisps and chocolate for £4.35, as part of one of their meal deals. Regards juice, which is one of this places awesome selling points, a regular costs £2.45, and a large £3.55. Many of the flavours on offer are delicious, but I’d particularly recommend the Ship St. Special, containing Orange, Apple, Carrot, Beetroot and Ginger. Redeli also boasts a book exchange, which effectively allows customers to take a book from this café’s selection, and replace it with one of their own.
