After being left disappointed by a meal I had at another Zizzis a few weeks ago I didn’t have the highest of hopes for this one but lucky for me I left feeling full up and satisfied. We had arranged a birthday meal for myself and friends last weekend as we had received an email from them offering us a free main meal if we dined with 4 or more people which was perfect as there was 10 of us going, but not only did me and my friend receive a free meal but we also had a £23.50 bottle of prosecco free for us both as well which I thought was amazing. The restaurant is set up lots nicer than the Cabot circus one and feels more like you’re in a restaurant. The food was good, no complaints from anyone in our party. Wasn’t the best Italian ever but it’s certainly edible and tasty.

Have been there with my partner this Monday. The taste of the cuisine was really nice. But will be happy if the portions were a bit more!

If you had asked me a few months ago, I would of marked this a three star. But the décor and service has improved dramatically recently and its great for the kids. My son loved watching the pizza baking in the stone oven so it lends itself for a relaxing meal. The Italian food is good and we enjoyed the Calzone and Calamari. Its not the best Italian food in the world but its consistent and one of the better restaurants in Clifton village(surprisingly there are not that many good ones).

Each time I’ve been to Zizzi I’ve left disappointed. Food is average, staff friendly but the service has always been horrifically slow. I once waited over an hour between starters and mains in the Clifton Village branch with little in the way of an apology when we had to keep asking when our food was coming. Similar experience in the Cabot Circus branch. Cheap(esp if you have one of their vouchers) but nothing special, and don’t bother if you’ve got plans for after dinner!

I recently went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday at the Clifton branch of this Italian chain restaurant and was very impressed with the level of service. Zizi’s is a mid-range Italian chain and as a result the food is moderately priced, similar to Pizza Express of Bella Italia. A friend had organised a surprise birthday party for her boyfriend and when we arrived in advance, all the waiting staff and the manager ensured there were drinks on the table, took our cake and let us get on with decorating the table. Throughout the meal our waiter was attentive and although it was a busy Friday night they gathered together to brink out the cake and join in with our cheers and singing. All our food came out within half an hour and was delicious — it was great to see it being prepared in front of us. Although some of the drinks were a little on the pricey side I would defiantly recommend coming here for a party or with a large group — reservations should defiantly be made for parties over four.

yummy yummy yum yum. Italian goodness from antipasti to gelato. This is a wonderful restaurant with professional and efficient service, with a smile! Their desserts are possibly the best thing about the food-my favourite is the amazing waffle, caramelised banana, toffee and chocolate sauce, icecream, whipped cream and strawberries combo-only £6.

I went here on Monday night at about 7.30pm and it didn’t even occur to me to book on that night of the week. However, it was completely rammed, and we had to wait five minutes to have a table cleared, though they were very polite about it and it was certainly preferable to a scenario in which we sat in the restaurant on our own. The maitre d’ explained it was because the students were back, though there was a large mix of people, including families with children. The menu was dominated by pizzas and pastas at between £7 and £10, with meat dishes coming in at a bit more; we opted for the calzone and the seafood linguine. The latter was excellent with fresh prawns and well spiced, while my dish was a little ruined by the brown lettuce which was in my side salad(literally lettuce and cherry tomatoes). Still, the atmosphere was good, the rest of the food was tasty, and the price was reasonable. Shame about this one fly in the ointment.

This pizza restaurant’s got a few things going for it. First off, a maître d’ with a little charisma, who makes you feel like you’re getting a proper restaurant experience as soon as you get there. You may well have to wait a little while(I have had to the last two times I turned up), but this guys attentiveness, and the comfy leather sofas, mean that waiting fifteen minutes doesn’t feel so bad. The food’s quick to come. They give you a view of the kitchen and you can watch them push the pizzas through they gigantic oven they’ve got at a rapid pace. There are alternatives to the pizzas but these are what I would recommend — reasonably priced and sized and the toppings all seem very fresh. With that said, I should say that I did spy a Somerfield bag(there’s an outlet next door) when I last went, so not all the ingredients come from top notch suppliers. Such are there perils for a restaurant that lets the customers get a good view of the kitchen. Not really a complaint though, as I said everything tastes fresh. The atmosphere’s lovely. They’ve managed to get the warm Mediterranean feel down. As soon as you come in you feel very much swept away from the cold high street you’ve just walked down. So with good staff, food, and atmosphere, Zizzies is a top notch Italian restaurant.

The food was good, but the lack of staff let the restaurant down. Too bussy and not many staff. A real shame!

Nice restaurant — they serve italian meals — eg pizza, pasta, as well as the usual garlic bread and other sides. Service is good when the restaurant is quiet, but they definately need more staff on busy nights.

Zizzis are a chain of restaurants owned by the same people who own pizza express. The food is nice but with more of an emphasis on the pasta rather than the pizza. I’ve had some wonderful dishes there but once or twice it’s over salty. Nice relaxing place and quite affordable.

Not the best zizzis I’ve been to. The food is standard, but the service wasn’t great. The service in the Birmingham Mailbox Zizzis was much much better than this.

Zizi’s is a chain of restaurants catering in Italian food. The menu is reasonably varied for an Italian restaurant and vegetarians are catered for quite extensively too. Staff are always friendly and happy to help and service was great, with only a short wait from ordering from the menu to the food arriving at the table. Prices are also very attractive and I would definitely recommend the place. They often also do 2−4−1 vouchers so look out for these as it makes the meal even cheaper!

I have paid a visit to a zizzis both in Bristol and Cheltenham and have pretty much gotten the same prompt friendly service from the staff, the food has been good all round for the price you pay and if your paying for simple and convenient then this is the place.

Zizzi is pretty much what you’d expect from a chain Italian restaurant. The menu is fairly varied and the items I’ve tried so far have always been pleasant. It’s not gourmet food but the price suggests as much and it’s in no way disappointing. The waiters are generally attentive and hard working and the food always arrived fresh and hot without any hint of sitting under a hot plate for 3 hours. I can’t say that this restaurant blew me away but overall the words pleasant and convenient come to mind. If that’s what you’re looking for and you want a safe hassle-free dinner then you could do a lot worse than Zizzi’s.

Food is of course a priority when dining out and Zizzi did not let me down, however it was the staff and service that made our night. The staff were prompt and attentive which was a real bonus as I had not expected such zeal, we only popped in for a couple of pizzas and a glass or two of wine. I know that a pizza is just a pizza(my grandmother can make them and she isn’t even Italian), but I really enjoyed mine and looking around the place, so was everyone else. A cheap and highly enjoyable experience.
