Stumbled across the Granary recently while in Edinburgh for a day out & what started out as just a quick lunch it just so happened that we were so relaxed in the bar the we spent the whole afternoon & early evening there. The homemade soup was delicious as was the Chicken Caesar salad. The staff were really friendly & kept the drinks flowing! The atmosphere is so relaxing. We spent the afternoon by the lovely fire listening to a guy singing & playing the piano. Definitely a place I would go back to, in fact as I sit here & type I am wishing I was back there right now! Prices were also very good & lovely views over the canal! Hopefully be back very soon!

The Granary is now very far away from its glory days, when it was a real Southside landmark. Now it is distinctly average, with an uncared for feel. The constant Tv blare is a nuisance. Staff are friendly, but too casual. The food is ok, but not outstanding. Getting served when it is busy is a nightmare.

The Granary is a good pub to go to for a drink or some food. It has a nice atmosphere, service is usualy quick and friendly. There are two bars which is always an advantage! The drinks are reasonably priced. I havent personally eaten there yet but I have heard excellent reviews.

The Granary is a comfortable place to go for a pint or a bite to eat after work. There are several tv screens in the pub which is good when the football is on but slightly destracting at other times.
