Greaves is pretty much THE place to shop for sports equipment of any kind if you don’t know where to go. I’ve been there a few times, and every time, I found exactly what I was looking for, and that I could not find elsewhere. From gift rugby/football jerseys to swimming or running equipment, I always found exactly what I was there for.
The staff is very friendly and takes the time to help you properly. The range of brands and items is not as large as in other stores (but if you want more choice, their other glasgow store is a bit bigger I think!), but it is still 4 stories of products and as I said, there will be what you are after! (Ok, you can blame me if it’s not the case:))
In terms of price, well it’s all mainly big brands, so you won’t find cheap deals there, but you can be certain it’s going to be top quality.

The staff greeted me right away when I entered and then continued to have their conversation with each other. When I approached to ask a question, they immediately stopped and helped me. They answered my questions and were quick about settling my purchases. They even helped me sort out some football tickets to see Scotland play Netherlands. They also treated my son well on a later trip. I’m a fan.

Okay, so the reviews below have pretty much got this business covered.
But I have a little nugget of information about this place which needs to be shared. Not only do they sell a wide range of Ugg boots — metallic silver and gold styles included — they also sometimes include them in very generous sales. So every once in a while it’s worth popping into Greaves, heading up to the second or third floor, and checking out the state of their Ugg prices.
One time I was greeted with a beautiful pair of gold Uggs for the bargain price of £60. Let me put this in context for you, they’re normally a HUNDRED and sixty. Sadly, they only had them in size 8. I did try them on, but even I had to concede that with my size five feet I looked like a clown.
Definitely worth checking though!

Greaves Sports have got it right. Whether you’re into hockey, darts, football, rugby (. the list is endless) they will have something for you.
The staff are keen sporting enthusiasts, and seem to know everything about each of the products, which compared to other sporting shops, is a massive plus.
I’m sure the other two reviewers also mentioned their massive selection of football strips — I may not be into football but this is impressive! I haven’t even heard of most of the teams. Oops.
Anyway, a sporting shop with something for everyone? Brilliant.
