I’ve lived round the corner for 3 years, walked past numerous times, but never been in until tonight. I’ve always been surprised at how busy it seems to be, given its slight odd location, and not a lot of parking space. It seems they seat everyone in the window booths to give the illusion of busy, but it was comfortable and a good people-watching spot. I opted for a pizza with black pudding and bacon. It was suspiciously quick to come to the table — I’m all for efficient service but when it’s too quick it seems almost inauthentic! However, it was perfectly tasty, with a nice thin base and generous toppings. I had a brownie and ice cream for pud which was simple but tasty. In fact, simple but tasty probably sums it up. I wouldn’t rush back, and I probably wouldn’t look to come back if I didn’t live around the corner. But I do, and I like pizza, so I might be tempted to a repeat trip.
