A conseiller donc.

Relaxed, friendly and welcoming, great service, fantastic food! Had heard good things about this restaurant and as it was my partners birthday I though it worth a wee surprise visit. The restaurant is hidden away so you immediately have a sense of adventure upon entering and what a lovely interior. We were greeted with a smile and throughout the night both members of staff front of house were efficient without being pushy, friendly without being too familiar and more than happy to meet our requests. The food is a nice mix of Scottish with some modern twists and each course was excellent. I choose a Pear, Walnut and blue cheese tart which was good, my partner opted for the pâté which soon disappeared with an accompaniment of approving noises! For the main course, I passed on the beef brisket and haggis but managed to sneak a mouthful or two from my partners plate and it was excellent. Accompanied with a pepper cream sauce that was very subtle, the meat was deliciously tender and the whole dish worked well. My main was fillet of venison, a port jus and spiced chestnuts, with some excellent smooth mash. The meat was cooked perfectly, the chestnuts(done in, I think, a little five spice and chilli) were wonderful alongside the dark port jus. The bottle of Rioja went down pretty well too! For dessert, as both of us are very sweet toothed, there was only one option; butterscotch meringue, with honeycomb ice cream and puff candy. After a few minutes silence we both looked up to agree it was scrumptious! Oddly it wasn’t too sickly sweet either, not sure how they manage that given the ingredients but it was delish! Price wise it came in a little cheaper than I expected, don’t get me wrong, it’s not cheap but it’s definitely worth every single penny. With such a relaxed atmosphere I can see me visiting again(maybe not for three courses though!). Fantastic meal, brilliant restaurant.

Radiohead, Fight club, Caffeine, Preacher, the Sister’s…somethings I’ll put my name to. If you disagree you’re just wrong or stupid… You may have driven passed this place a hundred times without realising it’s there. It’s on the way to, or from the learner driver’s graveyard that is Anniesland Cross. A rare 5 stars, but this wee hidden gem is the benchmark for all other restaurants. The restaurant, staff, atmosphere and food all 10⁄10. Used to be quite the regular when worked nearby and was a little spoilt by the standards set by the Sisters. Always knew it was great, but only after a year away, I realise just how amazing this place is. All the time and everytime, without fail, AMAZING! Anything off the menu will be great, but if need recommendation; scallops and black pudding for starter and chicken with haggis and mustard whisky sauce for main… just thinking of it is making me want to go back already!

This place is hidden away near Jordanhill trainstation. Definitely worth a look though. When you try the food you get the feeling that they are using top notch, fresh quality ingredients. I’m a big fan of Indian food, but if you want some good Scottish nosh, try this place!

This restaurant is phenomenal. The Sisters restaurant is authenticity at its best. On trying to decide where to take my special boyfriend I decided to have an online search because people just say the same old places all the time. It was a matter of chance that I came across Sisters, I can’t believe that no one I know, knows anything about it. That is unreal with a place like this. The type of food it serves is the real Scottish sort, Scottish Mussels, tatties, scallops and all freshly picked from the sea, field, where ever. I think Sisters is the type of place that prides itself on the freshness of its food and the care that goes into it. There is a set menu on offer for £17.95 which has a great variety of things on it. I will tell you about the Ice Cream Marmalade in particular, so delicious and I don’t even like marmalade. It just hass the right hint of marmalade in it to set the creamy ice cream off.

Wow. If you have overseas guests looking for an authentic Scottish dish, take them here. If you are looking for a romantic setting for a meal, go here. If you are hungry, just go here as well. You will not regret it. Let me tell you a little story which emphasises the care that goes into a Sisters’ recipe. While watching one of the founders, Jacqueline McCafferty, perform a cookery demonstraton at the Auchentoshan Whisky Festival last year, she informed the crowd the restaurant employed a «scallop man». It later emerged that rather than a city fishmonger, this was, in actual fact, a diver who lands fresh scallops and langoustines in Ullapool and drives them to Glasgow on the same day. Now that’s service for you. Set in leafy, bohemian surroundings near Jordanhill train station, Sisters gets everything spot on — the food, the drink, the ambience, the staff. No surprises here that it is now regarded as one of the finest restaurants the city. Offering a modern take on Scottish cuisine, personal favourites include the chicken breast with Dingwall haggis and the haddock. It’ll set you back a few bob, but worth every penny. As for the scallops, well«Scallop Man» may not be the catchiest super hero name on the go, but as far as the regulars here are concerned it’s just as valid. Top notch.
