Best pizza and takeaway in the West End! If they have any, try the Italian bread. I love the variety they have, everything from fish and chips to gorgeous pasta dishes. Yes, it does get very busy sometimes but that just means that food is fresh. Get chips and go sit on the benches in Old Station Park and watch the world go by If you need a carb overload, try Pizza Flavio! It sounds weird but I promise you it is yummy

A bit of an institution and I’ve dropped in here a few times as it’s handily on my route home(a little too handy!). The pizzas are where it’s at, freshly made, delicious and well priced. They have a good selection that is a little different from the usual fare, and will happily knock you up any weird and wonderful combination you want. They also do a good line in more standard chip shop fare, I may have sampled their smoked sausage supper in the past, the chips are always good and chunky! I’ve never been around during the day but I do fancy some of their more lunch focused menu items, and given that it’s owned by an Italian I should really try the coffee too!

I judge pizza delivery places on two factors. 1) Whether or not they can find my house, 2) How good the pizza is. In that order. This is because, legend has it, the average Glaswegian pizza delivery boy would find it easier delivering a margherita to North Korea than my humble abode. Thankfully Pizza Magic hasn’t survived in the West End for so long by being shoddy. With 12″ pizzas from 6.90, this place is reasonably prized with above-average quality. Stocking a range of beers and wines as well, it’s a good one-stop option for a night in, and best of all, you are able to order online, eliminating the room for error when giving your address. From experience, Pizza Magic has always stuck to its promise of having my order delivered within 40 minutes; astonishing, given the precedent set by other takeaway firms. Quite frankly, the pizza boy could take a bite out my pizza and I’d still give this place four stars.

Not the finest of pizzeria establishments but one of the only in the Hyndland area, and sometimes it’s refreshing to stray from the typical Domino’s/Pizza Hut selection and try something new. The premesis are clean and inviting and the staff have decent banter and chat. Maybe I’ve just been so brainwashed by Domino’s pizza that I can’t see sense anymore, but I do always miss the garlic and herb dip that i’ve grown accustomed to partening with all pizza orders and this pizzeria has no dips or sauces on offer. Offering the expected selection of toppings, it is actually the Margherita that is my personal favourite from Pizza Magic. The waiting times are fair, and they usually have X-Factor or some such delight up on the tv screens to help you while away the time as they cook up your order.
