Lovely cosy place. Very friendly staff. Stopped here while coming back from a festival and staff were nothing but helpful. Taking an interest in our journey over from Ireland and how we enjoyed our time here. The coffee served was delicious. But there was no milk with the Americanos. Not a huge problem as it just required queuing back up and asking for a cup of milk. I wouldn’t miss the chance however to go into another Café Nero and would rate it above many other cafés I have visited

Meh. It’s Caffe Nero. With some of the more dickish baristas I’ve seen in a Caffe Nero. In my opinion you’d be best walking the 300 yards to the next one. Any direction will do, it’s not like we have a shortage of Caffe Nero coffee shops in Leeds is it?

Been using Caffe Nero for years now. The atmosphere is great, the staff are always friendly and efficient and every 10th. cup is free. I love sitting outside smoking my pipe and watching the world go by. Heartily recommend.

I have neglected café Nero and decided it was high time to call in as I have been to a few other coffee places lately and was getting worried that their coffee was fine and it was ‘just me’ So, there’s good news and there’s bad news. The good news is that my taste hasn’t gone AWOL. The bad news is that there IS a hell of a lot of bad coffee around and it was a relief to find that Café Nero is providing a haven for good coffee. Yes there is better coffee(many of the independants) but it’s good to know that there is one chain that does good coffee. I’m not sure the staff are as on the ball as they used to be and I sort of miss the smokey, relaxed atmosphere upstairs but hey, I can’t blame Café Nero for everything that goes wrong in the world

So, Caffe Nero and I have been friends for a long while. We’re not exactly best mates, in fact, I hardly ever call in. Sort of a friend in reserve when other, better friends are too busy. The coffee has always been fairly good, and the cakes and snacks astronomical(as can be expected), but there’s nothing much to pull you in that isn’t on offer elsewhere. The staff have always been fantastic here, that much is true, and I’ve always had friendly efficient service. Whilst, when ordering a large, you don’t get the proverbial soup bowl that Costa offers, you’ll always be sure of a decent brew. Their outside seating is usually the final decider for me as in recent times they’ve always had a free seat and I am one of those awful smoker types who likes to mull over life with a coffee and cig in hand. Strangely, as with most coffee shops in Leeds, Nero too has a bit of an issue related to grubby toilets but as this is a theme throughout those I’ve experienced in Leeds it’s a standard I’ve come to expect.(With the exception of the independent cafés in Leeds, that is.) They’re not grim beyond belief, but they’re never too welcoming. Overall, I’m sure you know what to expect of Nero too. Decent coffee, high end but tasty snacks, and a plethora of seating. It’s a handy spot for the weary shopper, and pleasant enough to pause and gather some respite before continuing on into the fray of Leeds during the Christmas period.

It’s be rude of me not to take on board some of the bigger coffee shops in the city. When I say bigger, I mean in terms of production and mass consumption. After all, I’m a caffeine junkie. There, I have said it. I can be loud and proud now, it’s out in the open. So why not start with Caffe Nero. You know what, it aint have bad Jack, it aint half bad. I’m sure I’m meant to be calling for the end of it and freedom to all independents but there is certainly no concerns from me regarding the standard of their espresso. It’s good, energy zapping stuff. I’m also partial to a nice cup of filter coffee and again it’s a winner. It’s a busy little caffeine haven this Nero as well but most of the bigger branded coffee houses are the same. So expect to wait for your hit. To be fair, I’d rather wait a little and have a better cuppa than be rushed through with some weak, bland beans. As for the food, well I’m not overly impressed. Micro waved pasta is just wrong in anyone’s books but the sandwiches are reasonable(if in taste, not price). Sorry to disappoint but I kind of like my Nero. A good fall back and ideally primed in location.

I’m so not a fan of Caffe Nero. At All. Maybe this is because I’m so into my Starbucks. I love the whole Italian Caffe Nero theme and think that their coffee shops look quite polished, yet something stops me. Maybe it’s the ridiculously overpriced sandwiches and cakes? But then again, Starbucks aren’t too far off the price scale there. Or Costa for that matter. This place is always absolutely buzzing and you can expect to have to queue. Service is pretty slow too and obviously the staff are too busy to be overly polite. But hey, they’re rushed off their feet so I understand this. Anyway, something just doesn’t do it for me… I couldn’t be mean enough to rate it two stars even though I have experienced better… but Caffe Nero is A-OK.

I like Caffe Nero in Leeds, as you get a very good range of coffees and pleasant snacks. I like the fact that it is set on 3 floors, which makes it feel kind of quirky and cosier. However, as another reviewer commented, it can be a bit hair-raising, trying to get your tray of drinks up and down the stairs. It’s certainly not a place to take young children and, for that reason, I haven’t been in a long time.

this is the only caffe nero that has served consistantly good coffee, the one in york and designer outlet seems hit and miss! when smoking was allowed, the third floor was for the smokers offering sofas and basic wooden seating, also being near the basic, but well kept toilets! i generally pop in now and again, but less since smoking laws came into effect. the cakes and light meals are always good here! though its one of the more expensive coffee shops around. it gets very busy and its not a big space inside, so to find seating can be tricky? especially when you have shopping bags, and a tray of hot drinks, getting up the stairs can be a hazard!
