It’s a cute and cozy place for weekend breakfast. Will’s hair appointment is in Leeds once a month and this place has been the breakfast place to me for sit in having a cup of coffee while browsing the newspaper. It’s a chain so everything is pretty standard except for fast service and efficient table cleaning. It makes this place a very well maintained environment. The hot breakfast rolls are fresh most time and the pastries are properly baked to perfection. The crispy textures shows its been in the right temperature for just enough time. I also love their Korean BBQ Pork quinoa rice pot. The tropical green tea is my favourite drink. Strong good quality green tea leaves with a taste of tropical fruit. Sometimes, we go for the coffee which seems have less bitterness. Some cold drinks in the fridge and the fruit pot are great quality as well just like what Pret a Manger offers. It’s located in the very centre of the shopping area and it’s definitely a lovely place to grab a drink or you can come in when it’s quiet for a relaxing time.

This branch of PRET is located in the Leeds City Centre, It is on Lands Lane in the city centre, near the WHSmith and Waitrose so it isn’t that hard to miss, if you are craving a PRET while in Leeds. I am not a regular to the PRET franchise, with my only experience being a rather negative one with their branch in Selfridges in the Manchester Trafford Centre, but as I was passing and wanted to try out a chain, I do not visit so often, I decided here would be the place for my stop off. They is seating over two floors, with views of the city centre, which can get slightly unpleasant with all the windows, with the Leeds bright sun(but that isn’t that often) The drinks menu I feel could do with improving, I decided to order a Love Bar Latte which looked interesting, they told me it was basically toffee and gluten free, while the Love Bar isn’t. I have since checked and it is gluten free as it was made with syrup. The Love Bar latte, I found to be nearly undrinkable, I found it to be horrible to say the least, Since I have visited my trip I noticed the following statement on the PRET website ” Made with beautifully strong espresso and creamy organic milk, our Love Bar Latte is a chocolate, caramel biscuit-y treat with a subtle nutty aroma to finish. Lovely. Every cup donates 10p to the Pret Foundation Trust to help support homeless charities across the UK. « This means that it is not the Toffee syrup they promised and is more of a chocolate, caramel type biscuit coffee, when honestly, they didn’t explain this to me and made it look a lot more appetising than a child’s dream put together to make one mess. I didn’t notice any gluten free food other than the soup, which I did not try. I feel 2 stars is very fair for this place, giving my disappointing experience, I feel an extra star is in order for the location and I don’t feel it deserves 1 star but still I feel I am being slightly generous here and might revise my rating in the near future but for now, I feel 2 is the right rating for this store.

Ehh, I’ve tried to be a fan of Pret, but it just doesn’t seem to want to happen. To be honest, I only go there for the food in the first place, but even so, it doesn’t seem to agree with my taste-buds. My most recent experience has pretty much sealed the deal that I won’t be heading back in a great hurry. The boyfriend and I decided to go to Pret for lunch one Sunday afternoon. We ventured in and browsed the vast display fridges for something to eat. I opted for a hot wrap, having had one a week or so before and found it decidedly average — I wanted to give them a second chance! The boyfriend also picked up a hot wrap — he went for jalepeno chicken, I went for BBQ pork. I also grabbed a can of sparkling apple juice and we stood to browse the hot drink menu. Whilst we were browsing the menu, one of the servers called out that if we were ready, we could come down. I replied that we were just looking and she smiled and went about her business. If only her colleague who eventually served us was equally as pleasant. I went up to pay first, put my things down and said ‘hi’ to the lady behind the till. I was met with a sour look as though I’d just said ‘hi, may I punch you in the face please?’ she put my things through, barked ‘sit in or take out’ at me and then told me the price. £5.24 — well for that price, I had high hopes for a decent wrap and drink! Boyfriend was served after me, with the same expression, dared to ask for a mint tea — a request our ever so pleasant server barked at another one of her colleagues(I might add, the tea bags and hot water were right behind her…) to make it, then didn’t even bother to tell boyfriend how much his order came to. Luckily it was displayed on the screen for the till, but really? Why would you not tell someone how much you’re asking them to pay?! Anyway, pleasant server aside, we went to find a table to sit down — noting their very cool condiment bar area in the process. We decided to sit upstairs, having only just realised that this Pret actually had an upstairs in the first place. Finding a table was relatively easy, it wasn’t particularly busy for the time of day — lunch time on a weekend. So we set about enjoying our food. Or trying to. Call me crazy, but when I buy something that has ‘BBQ’ on the label, I kinda expect a BBQ flavour. I got none. Instead, I got the spiciness that was clearly meant for the boyfriend’s non-jalepeno chicken wrap. As for my drink, well, I’m not quite sure what the taste was, but it certainly wasn’t apple. Now I know they go for the whole ‘no artificial flavours etc…’ business, but whatever was in that can wasn’t apple tasting. Blergh. Sorry Pret, you may be the first choice for many, but definitely not for me!

I’ve never been into a Pret before recently. I remember yonks ago one opening up near Natwest across town, and back in those days it seemed to be revered as some sort of luxury –folks were all«I love Pret, I’m so glad we’ve got a Pret in Leeds now!» Of course, I didn’t clock what all the fuss was about, so I didn’t end up popping in and checking out any of the Leeds branches. Until now. Whilst it was more of a flying visit, I would say of all the identikit coffee chain spots along this street this is probably now a new favourite. In spite of being rather packed the service was really swift and efficient. I’ve eaten their offerings before, not in Leeds mind, and whilst they are those few pounds more expensive I’ve always had a happy stomach. The coffee was great, well made and totally hit the spot so there’s no complaints there either. Seating wise you’ve an array of nicely space tables on the ground level, slightly more cramped but ample seating up stairs and a smattering of seats outside for the warmer months. Basically, if you’re not hitting up Pickles & Potter, Opposite or Bottega(and the other indie top spots nearby) then this is as good a call as they come. The window spots upstairs do come with a rather pleasant view of the street below, which is always a boon! In any case, certainly worth a visit if you’re coffee-bound and within the near vicinity!

Aaaaaah Pret, how i wish you were just one independent café in Leeds, if you were I would be in every day(and you would have 5 stars for sure!) alas you are a chain with 3 in Leeds city centre no less. But, this store on lands lane is very central and across the street from my flat so very convenient, I get coffee there at least 2 times a week, which means I see the staff more than anyone in my family and so they definitely deserve a review. So why do I walk past 2 other coffee shops right outside my door to and make the effort to go to Pret? Service, Quality of Coffee and Food, Speed and you can generally always get a seat. The staff are always really friendly, i don’t see how other places seem to miss out on service. Coffee machines are not black and white machines,(so they steam the milk by hand rather than just pressing a button) which in my eye means they make real coffee and all with with rachael’s organic milk! Food is all made in store, if you have the joy of being in town very early wander past the store in the early hours of the morning you can see that bread had turned up as loaves, not pre-packed sandwiches, Also any food not sold on the day of being on sale will be given away to the homeless, both of these mean major bonus points! Speed of service is second to none for a Leeds city centre café, a well oiled machine! All in all I trust that I will always get a tasty coffee, and so far theyve never let me down, thanks! Word to the wise: They do have a loyalty scheme but not a lot of people know that, just ask for a card when you order a coffee!

This was the best thing by far that I ate in Leeds, and actually, I would venture to say, England as a whole(yes that includes London). Pret, you saved my bowels and stomach from the horrors of British food. Thank you. Very fresh.

Great shop. Never been to a pret before. I loved the experience and a great place to pass the time of day and see friends. This shop is offering the visa swipe and go service. A++ The place is warm welcoming and from my experience the staff have great training. There is plenty of seating and with such good opening times its the best place to call on your way down to that train station for a quick take out drink or a bite to eat. Sit back, chuck ya feet up on them couches and roll your thoughts while listening to the relaxing background music this place has to offer!

I can’t believe no one has yet reviewed the king of all chain sandwich shops for the Leeds area on Unilocal! They make fresh lunch time food for all those too busy to do it themselves yet still want to eat good food rather than buying a greasy pasty from Greggs. Yes, it is more expensive but you get what you pay for. Here you can find a fast lunch that is chemical, additive and preservative free, something Pret prides itself on. Apart from the regular sandwich they have sushi, croissants, salads, yogurts, fruit, muffins and the Love Bar. This is the reason I return to Pret. It is a beautiful snack bar filled with oats, caramel, seeds and love and is the tastiest thing of its kind I have come across! I began my affair with the Love Bar a few years ago in this very branch of Pret. I went there because it’s conveniently in the middle of town and in the pedestrianised space outside there is always a good busker or two. The sun reaches the area around lunchtime, making it the perfect place to stop and listen for a bit. The staff are super friendly too.

Average price for a Pret a Manger, which is expensive for a coffee, to be honest. Lots of tables including indoor seating. It was packed out today, but still somewhere to sit, and plenty of room around the tables. Fast service despite how busy they were, and none of that ‘wait for your coffee over there’ rubbish. The sandwich was delicious(Tuna Nicoise salad in a sandwich — genius!) and really good, strong coffee. No extra charge for soy milk(unlike Starbucks). Good access, clean, friendly — can’t ask for anything else!

If you’re after a quick sandwich and a drink Pret is always a safe option and they do a wide selection of ‘posh’ sanwiches which can set you back a couple of quid but are always fresh and tasty. I like to nip in for a cappuccino now and again if I’m shopping in Leeds and the Lands Lane Pret has quite a lot of outdoor seating so its nice to watch the world go by.
