The costa corporate machine is in full flow here, but its good coffee and decent cake and its good to know you’ll enjoy it.

Leeds city centre has hoards of coffee shops, some dedicated purely to the caffeine fix, and others who mix coffee in with treats and snacks. Costa is one of my preferred chains and the city centre branch excites me for a few reasons. — It has some great outside seating, which gets nabbed pretty quickly in the sunny weather! — The large cups are pretty much soup bowl size. — The coffee is great! — The snacks, although pricey, are pretty good. The cakes are always particularly moist and generously portioned! I’ve always had good service, they have a card machine(which is really useful) and the inside space is pleasant to relax in. Main down side is that there is one toilet throughout. I don’t mind unisex toilets, but I have often found it in rather a poor state. Even so, it’s not enough to deter me from a good coffee and cake!

Whilst all Costas serve the same coffees, they range wildly from place to place. This particular Costa is on two floors, and it tends to get very busy due to its position in the centre of town. The baristas here are probably the quickest of a Costa I’ve been to, and you rarely have to queue. The upstairs seating is much nicer than downstairs, and sitting outside is always an option, even when it isn’t sunny.
