Roomzzz is the type of place that caters for both things I want — Style and Comfort. They have three destinations throughout Leeds which are central, 361 and city. This is a great place to stay on a city break as you get your own kitchen so you’re able to cook your own meals, saving you a little money. The ‘hotel’ also offers room service and a maid service. It’s a little pricey but worth it if you have the cash.

Roomzzz makes a welcomed change from staying in Travelodges or Etap’s and has a much warmer feel. Roomzz is a hotel made up of mini apartment type rooms decorated in a contemporary style, located in the city centre with fantastic views. Friends of mine came to stay in Leeds and found Roomzzz on the internet. The paid only £60 and had a gorgeous large room, kitchen, bathroom and view across the whole city which was stunning late at night. You pay £100 a night at the Mariott around the corner, and the rooms aren’t as stylish as what Roomzz offers. The location is perfect, it is close to the center of the city and walking distance from all the shops and bars, so you can have a bevvy and not have to get a pricey cab home. If you are visiting Leeds I would thoroughly recommend staying here. It isn’t five star and it has nothing on the Hilton, but beats most other hotels in the city and has a plush feel that Etap can’t offer.

My parents stay here whenever they come up to visit, as they like the fact that they can save money by cooking for themselves. Which they invariably never do. I would try and point out the flaw in their logic, but as the online rate they pay is normally cheaper than a hotel it seems a moot point. These neat little mini-apartments have everything you could need for a short trip or a longer stay, with the open-plan layout incorporating a well-equipped kitchenette and lounge area as well as a large, comfy bed. Roomzzz have three properties in Leeds, and my parents stay at the Central location which is a short walk from town and close to the huge Opal student complexes so good for visiting parents. The rooms look a little poky on the website but are in fact fairly spacious, with plenty of room to accommodate two visitors for dinner without it being a squeeze. Altogether Roomzzz is great value for money — particularly if you actually use the kitchen facilities and cook at home!

Looking for something a bit different to the massive chain hotels the city offers in abundance, I stumbled across Roomzzz during a routine web search for Leeds hotels. There are three complexes dotted around the city; central, 361 and city. Aparthotels attempt to combine the idea of having your own apartment with the full service offered by a hotel, aiming to give you accomodation that can feel more personable with clean towels readily available! We stayed in the newest of the three complexes; Roomzzz Leeds City. For the price we paid(£59 internet rate) and for the fantastic accomodation we enjoyed, Roomzzz really is a perfect place to stay in the city centre. It’s a fantastic concept and for those bored of satisfactory stays in chain hotels, give Roomzzz a go — there’s probably more than you’ve got at home!
