Great environment and food was decent! Ordered the dish with brown rice and some meat/​vegetables mixed in. Pretty much fried rice but at a decent price. Felt like it was on the healthier side when looking for Japanese fusion food. Perfect for the 20s crowd. Ideal since there’s some shops around and a cinema. Will definitely recommend to people who want some good food with great company!

just near yosushi and mainly focus on japanese noodles. Noodles has a weak flavor and need more soy sauce.

Having spent a number of years in the Far East, I find this place to be a little Disney like.
I tried this restaurant whilst on a working lunch. Although they do their utmost to create an authentic Japanese dining experience it falls some way short for those diners that have experience real Japanese cuisine.

Maybe it’s because I’m a bit bored of Wagamamas, maybe it’s because Little Tokyo does this better (and you don’t have to sit next to strangers, either, if you don’t want to), but this new Leicester branch of the chain is pretty much the same as all the others, and not thrilling with it.
Its major plus points are the food — tasty as always, though not that cheap — and the location, as it’s slap bang in the middle of the Highcross. Because of that, it’s predictably always quite busy, so stake out a table (or couple of seats) early.

Wagamama is one of my favouraite restaurants and I got really excited when I visited the new Wagamama in High Cross, Leicester.
It is in a really nice location, near the designer shops and new Cinema de lux. It is a really nice looking restaurant and is the same layout as all other Wagamams I have been in.
The service was ok, not the best but it was very busy as we went on a Saturday lunch time. The menus had not been cleaned — they were wet and sticky which is not a big deal but it kind of makes you wonder what else they have let slip. As the restaurant is smaller than others they have a smaller menu than normal which I was gutted about as they did not have my fave dish — Chicken Chill men. I had the Katsu curry which was really nice but again not as good as other Wagamamas.
I was quite disappointed with this Wagamamas but I will definately visit again as they had only just opened so will give them the a second chance :)

great location, but not cheap. Staff inexperienced and service is slow, but should get better with time. £8 for a bowl of noodles in soup? Ripoff. Better value for money at the noodlebar, which is around the corner. Food tastes great though.

Expensive. But very crowded. Where do people get the money to eat in places like this! About £8 for a mains dish. Expoensive especially as it is a fastfood resturant. Other places like noodlebar do the same type of food for ¾ of the price.

Perfecly placed, you can nip in and get your cinema ticket for a later showing and then go have your dinner. Don’t be fooled by the massive looking queues, the queueing area is tiny and makes it look like more people are waiting than really are. Plus there are tables a plenty, so you never wait long. Really well priced and suprisingly filling, you won’t break the bank going here either. Can seem quite intense at times and if you fancying a nice quite meal this wouldn’t be the best place, and as a previous poster said, if you’re in two, you probably won’t get you own table during busy times.

I went to wagamamas for the first time last week and loved it. Well priced and a nice location made for a really fun lunch. I’d like to come and stay longer next time.

Fabulous food. Fabulous location, well priced & fully glassed fronted so can sit & relax & watch the world go by. Opposite the new cinema, so perfect for an after or pre-​film meal.
Only bug-​bear is that due to the seating plans, no tables for two, so if it getas busy you could get another couple sitting next to you if you are on a table for four!
