Yo Sushi

Gets the job done. A bit expensive, but decent selection. The edamame was a little cold. They also charge 1.10 for tap water. I liked the 25% off for students this week, but probably wouldn’t return unless there was another promotion.

selection on belt is poor! ordered portion is unreasonably small! it’s a rip off!!! it’s gone downhill!!! you get better food and value at wagamama!!! don’t bother with yo sushi! it’s rubbish!

I debated giving this place 1 star. The additional star is for the staff. I ordered take out from here and the process went well — ordered online, got to the location and my food was ready — checking out was easy and the staff was friendly, but when I got home and saw what I got I was kind of shocked.
First of all the portions were very small. And as for the taste, this probably goes down as the worst sushi I have ever had. The duck and mango roll was ok — although not much mango flavor. The tuna roll was downright disgraceful. Avocado roll… so little avocado and the seaweed even seem discolored and the taste was off. I was really disappointed with my meal here.
Maybe if you came and sat at the counter on a Monday (when they have a deal) you would have a better experience as you can see everything go around and choose items that look good.

Staff are really helpful, perfect restaurant if your after something a little bit different. Only bug bear is that i wish you could choose where you want to sit, but totally understand this cannot be helped. Thumbs up yo sushi.

Nice food but you sometimes have to wait ages for something you want to come round the conveyor and if you order specials you sometimes have to wait ages for those as well. Not really anywhere to put your coat or bag so they don’t get in the way, so that’s ackward on your stool. Good if there’s a deal on for cheaper dishes like blue Monday. Often very busy on Wednesdays as near the cinema and get the Orange wed crowd.
Overall somewhere to go occasionally but if want a proper Japanese meal go to Little Tokyo or Wagamama.

Our first visit to Yo Sushi and we really enjoyed it.
Although individual dishes are inexpensive, you need quite a few of them so a big bill soon mounts up.
Water is superb, but a little pricy (£1.05)
We will try other branches.

Really cool place. I had never been to a Yo Sushi before, even though you will find it everywhere in London! But it is a nice place, for people who like shushi anyway for the others it’ll be a total waste of money. The novelty factor draws everyone in food on a conveyor belt, it, s really cool. I’ll defiantly be going again.

Eating sushi at Yo Sushi is a crazy experience. Walk in, sit down by the conveyor belt and grab what you like. Just remember you have to pay for it afterwards! You can easily rack up an expensive bill for food so small, so choose wisely! You can also take a seat in a booth for a more leisurely meal, although I prefer perching and watching the chefs work their magic. They don’t do chips and sushi is a rice dish, commonly misconceived as ‘raw fish’. So enjoy the rice, the seaweed, the tuna and Yo will love it.

Have been here twice. On both occasions I tried a selection of Sashimi & Nigiri.
The first time the food was OK, the Sashimi was a little cold straight from the fridge, the tuna was obviously the cheapest & leanest they could find (fatty = good, lean = bad) and the nigiri had too much Wasabi for my liking. The hamachi was nice tho.
The second time the Sashimi was poor to say the least, it looked like it had freezer burn and had a truly dreadful texture. I also tried the softshell crab tempura which was awfull, it tasted very strongly of fish and was increibly oily, I could not get past the second bite and having been to Japan, I can’t belive this would ever be served to a customer.
The staff throught were very helpful and friendly and did take the carb tempura off my bill without me even asking, which I am gratefull for.
Unfortunaly, the food is barly edible and I will not be going back again.

Yo! Sushi is a great meal out if you like Japanese and of course sushi! Being a vegetarian its great to see a wide selection of yummy treats whizzing around on the convey belt. Oh yes did I mention whizzes around on a conveyor a belt? Well its great! You pick what you want to eat off the conveyer belt and pay at the end.
Also I found out that they do take out, but not only take out they deliver to your door and for forty pounds you can get a great selection of fish or veggie sushi which is more than enough for four to five people! Long live sushi!

Expensive! Great quirky restaurant design. Staff very helpful. Although they seemed inexperienced. Can only get better. Wide range of food for even picky eaters. But I felt it was very expensive for what it was. £40 for 2 people at lunch with drinks. Wow, London prices in Leicester.

Great food. Lovely chain from London. Interesting take on Japanese food. but it is always packed with people. Took about 15mins to wait for a table which seemed reasonable. High turnover but I never felt rushed.

Staff are friendly and helpful and serve you with a smile, but be warned this is fast food with a twist, you pay what you want from the list and then pick your dishes according to the colour of the dish on the conveyer belt, half the fun is fighting for the food as it goes round on the belt and if its really busy you can asked the chefs in the centre of the counter for them to make you what you have missed out on.
This place is not just for raw fish lovers as there are plenty of hot dishes too, but watch out there is always the danger of eating too many plates of food as it’s so moorish
