I have visited the café several times usually midweekThe greeting is always very rushed!!! and the server with the dark hair is very rude and never fails to make me feel as if I am a nusiance just for walking in, and always barks at me where to sit. However I have learnt now not to take any notice of her because the food always compensates for her bad attitude and if I am lucky enough to be served by the blonde girl I am happy as she could not be any nicer!!!

Stop The World is amazing, they have a massive menu that changes often. But leave space to sample the cakes, dieting can start 2morro

Stop the World well deserves its award of ‘Best Café in Essex’ — a beautifully decorated, slightly old fashioned café with a huge range of delicious cakes and teas. The café can get very busy at the weekends but staff are friendly and helpful and will find you a table as soon as they possibly can. As well as the cake, I would recommend the Owletts organic juice(from a local producer) and the enormous salads. Make sure to take a look at their specials board as well. The food has always been of superb quality and this is definitely my favourite café in the area. I only wish they served their delicious breakfasts all day!

Coffee, I had a black Americano which was fresh, rich and full flavoured and came in a nice large mug. The food, pastries, home made scones and baguettes were the choice for myself. Great tasting food with good quality sausages. Tea was loose leaf, with enough for two cups and soya milk available Staff, good looking friendly staff, know a lot about there product and serve/order from the table Outside seating next to bike rack. Directly untie Leigh broadway for good sun and people watching.

Stop the World always seems too busy for my liking at the weekend, but when I got the chance to stop for a midweek breakfast it soon became clear why! The café has a charming interior, with something of Brown’s about it, and a quite Edwardian flavour. Their breakfast menu was extensive, and the American style blueberry pancakes are unbelievably good, especially with a side of bacon and maple syrup. The only downsides were the price and the size of the place — they could do with bigger premises! Would definitely go back.

The pancakes are out of this world and the breakfast yoghurt smoothie is a brilliant way to start any day.

Surely the loveliest place to stop for coffee, tea or breakfast in the area. The terrace is lovely although always in the shade and a bit windy. Interior is superb and very continental. The food is great. The service could be a bit more professional, less rushed and could do with some smiles,

A real treat when visiting Leigh is to pop in for team at this coffee shop. They seve delicious home made cakes and biscuits to go with your drinks. The staff are always helpful and making recommenations and are busy keeping everyone happy and the tables clean. It’s a bit pricey but the experience is worth it!

This is one of the newer coffee shops in Leigh and has been done to a very high standard. It has been fitted out to look like an oldy worldy coffee shop with a modern twist. The coffee is good, breakfasts are great and I have had a welsh rare bit(with mushrooms) for lunch there once which was amazing! There is a counter at the front full of the most amazing looking cakes which I will try one day. The only downside is that because of its size, you cannot go in with a buggy — fine if you can bring your little one in with you and leave it outside but not so great if they are asleep! There is a small terrace running along the side which is great for the summer months. Highly recommended.

Very modern,(construction wise and decoration wise), Stop The World is a decent coffee house, if a bit small in size, and perhaps a cost reflecting the modern-standards of the place. The staff always seem to be smiling, which is something nice to mention, and they will always talk to you and get to know your tastes and styles, so they can serve you better.
