Went here for brunch– great service and food. We ate in the brasserie restaurant. I ordered the avocado on toast with an added poached egg and was very filling. The brunch cocktails were also very good. The decorations are very classic and pretty. The only thing slightly lacking was buzz/atmosphere but it could have been the time of day we came. The pantry area upstairs which is a separate but connected restaurant looked to have more buzz to it so we will try this next time.

If you want a real London Tea time experience this is the place! They start out by bringing out about a dozen differenet types of teas, having you smell them and telling you all about them and what they do. Then they bring you out a tray of delicious pastries, sandwhiches, and biscuits. Their biscuits are by far the BEST biscuits i have ever had. I never really cared for them much but i have now fallen in love and their butter(yes butter. i know sounds crazy but it is AMAZING they add in a little sugar and I can’t remember what else they add but it is out of this world!!) We devoured our tray, everything the pastries, the sandwhiches, all of it was so good we had to order seconds! Definitely will be coming back here and highly reccomend this place!

The newly refurbed Pantry at 108 Marylebone is the loveliest spot for afternoon tea that nobody seems to know about! It’s been a difficult old start to 2015 so far, so a couple of girlfriends and I decided we needed some TLC last weekend. And what better reminder that everything’s going to be ok than having a cuppa with friends and some fancy cakes, right?! This meant we didn’t need any of the special occasion pomp and splendour, so this place was perfect for us — it’s not overly flashy but the top-notch service and stylish setting still makes you feel really special. We all chose the Classic afternoon tea, but you can go Indulgent and add champers, or Healthy with a gluten-free, low-sugar offering(yeah, we were being good but not thaat good!). They presented 6 classic tea choices to us, so more manageable than the 200-odd teas I’ve seen on menus elsewhere. The waiter had an extremely thick accent though and if I hadn’t been listening out for words like darjeeling and assam I’d have had no chance! After that, we got individual plates of finger sandwiches(average really) then a more exciting two-tier stand of scones and pretty desserts. The lemon tart tasted better than it looked; the choc one the other way around. The scones are actually usually my fave part and they didn’t disappoint, particularly when we realised you could get unlimited refills! Two words that are the way to my heart ;) There was a great relaxed atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon, and the waiters are quick to respond when you make a my-teapot’s-empty sad face at them but otherwise don’t disturb you, which I liked a lot. We easily sat there for well over 2 hours and felt completely unhurried. It’s reasonably priced for a London afternoon tea too at £28pp. Would recommend if you’re going more for comfort-eating unlimited scones than the ‘seeing and being seen’ side of afternoon tea.

New and improved 108 Brasserie — now with more fire! I live across the street from this restaurant and have watched its evolution over 3 years. It has tried to be all things to all people. And has failed miserably! In its latest iteration it has changed its color scheme and has placed cheap-looking floor standing gas lanterns outdoors — the ones you see at cheap shisha places on Edgeware roads. I guess when all else fails, appeal to the most primitive of human fascinations — fire! The clientele is usually on the nicer side and The food itself is not terrible, but nothing to write home about — passable fare, but expensive. Downer is that some nights the place is swamped with loud outer-borough people, aching to spend their hard earned paychecks on overpriced drinks. Advice to 108 Marylebone — you are sitting atop the best piece of hotel/restaurant real estate in east Marylebone. You don’t need cheap gimmicks! What you need is a celebrity chef and a radical change of menu. Not only would you mint money(as Marylebone has no celeb chef restaurants), but you will actually fill the many empty rooms in the attached hotel, if you turn it into an actual destination.

Nice spot for a pre-dinner drink. They have delicious wine. A bit pricey, but lovely & relaxed atmosphere.

I had a dinner here with lovely company, just because the place next door had a line for 2 hours. We did get a chance to come across this lovely place. Bar, restaurant were connected to the hotel upstairs. Not only this setting reminded me of a New York. The decoration, life music and menu almost brought me to Manhattan. This place would be ideal for a drink before a night out. Loud but very pleasant music would put you in the mood. Maybe because of this american feeling I ordered a burger as the main meal. The presentation was lovely, meat well done. But the bun kind of ruined it, as it was hard. Nice surprise for me was a side dish of fried zucchini, which made up for the bun.

Gutes Essen, gute Drinks und gute Musik? Check!

i eventually found this place, i wasnt aware the road crossed over lol The staff are very friendly and attentive I ordered the smoked salmon to start with and it was lovely, the other half had watercress and potato soup. we were surprised when this huge dish came with a piece of salmon on a tiny drop of green soup, after a slight joke about the portion size the waitress advised more was to come as she poured out a jug of soup over the salmon and it was very tasty. We then went on to the rare longhorn ribeye steak that melted in the mouth and finished it off with the brownie served with a scoop of pistachio icecream and rum caramailzed bananas. we also tried the marylebourne and passion 108 cocktails. A very enyoyable meal in a nice and cozy environment definetly recommended

Booked this restaurant on a rival website. 50% off the a la carte menu. British food, well prepared in a comfortable atmosphere. Service was a bit too relaxed and without the 50% offer the food is overpriced.

Recently reviewed 108 Marylebone Lane( ) for Londonist. I really liked this upscale restaurant. In particular, I was especially impressed with the braised Cornish lamb shank(with pearl barley, root vegetables and rosemary sauce for £18.50), which all but melted in my mouth. Everything I sampled was yummy. No complaints about the food! It’s a bit pricey here — but what you’d expect round this part of town and portions are huge. 108 Marylebone Lane probably wouldn’t be my first choice in the area, but(aside from being short on funds) I can see no reason to avoid this classy resto.

Admittedly I had no idea that 108 is a hotel restaurant until we closed the place out and the bartender kindly directed us out«the back door» via the hotel lobby. This is a testament to the atmosphere and the clientele 108 attracts — no tourists or lonely businessmen dining alone. Instead it’s quiet enough to have a conversation but lively such that it’s the perfect place to host birthday drinks. Things I appreciate about 108 Marylebone: *The staff is flexible — they will adjust your reservation, accommodate special requests and generally go out of their way to make sure you get whatever you need /want /strangely crave. *They stock at least three if not more types of gin, including some small batch stuff, and they make a mean martini. *Even though the bar menu is pretty good, they will allow you to order off the restaurant menu if you want something more substantial. *The bar seats are actually comfortable. *As it’s only two blocks away from my flat, I can stumble home gracefully while window shopping along Marylebone high street.

judging by the size of this restaurant, it definitely has seen better times. you will discover the sprawling floor area if you take a trip to it’s hotel standard bathrooms. my experience here at lunch time was way below expectations as far as the food goes! this is despite the fact that they were having a 50% off ala carte menu! the crispy poached hen’s egg was cold, rubbery in texture and the yolk hard boiled solid. additionally, the asparagus was cold and wilted. please avoid this at all cost. the rillette of salmon and cornish crab was slightly better but dont expect it to blow you away. only the lobster bisque that we ordered for sharing was of decent standard despite being a little diluted in consistency. my rump of english lamb was burnt! literally leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. the polenta was hard like rock and all dried up. the fish looked better than it tasted but was still way better than the lamb! i’m guessing all the above dishes failed to impress because of poor execution. what sounded impressive on paper was not delivered as promised. the only star i gave was for the very friendly, hardworking and apologetic staff who tried his best to please us. nonetheless, i wouldnt go back here again, not even if it’s free.

Had drinks at the bar and dinner here recently and it was ok. The bar area is really nice with the artisanal cocktails running about 8(tried the peppered mojito which was nice). The seating in this area is really nice with a mix of lower leather arm chairs and regular seats. Service is also good. We moved from the bar area into the dining and this is where things lost a tad bit of momentum for me. The cauliflower macaroni that I had should’ve been better(great concept) — the sauce was way to running and was just cream and calories for the sake of it without the flavor to make it worth it. My sea bass was good and very well made. Some friends ordered the beet and goat’s cheese salad which was overwhelmed with not enough beets/lettuce and way too much cheese. Desserts were very limited here(mostly of the cheesecake/crème brûlée ilk). Very nicely appointed decoration and reasonably priced(most dishes around 12 – 14).

There was a time when most hotel restaurants weren’t very good and were patronized only by guests not inclined to wander off in search of something better. But more and more hotel restaurants are becoming destinations for non-guests, and this brasserie located in the Jurys Clifton Ford Hotel is one of them. It has a simple décor that leads you to believe it’s not as upscale as it actually is, but the food, service, and prices are equal to what you’ll find in any fine restaurant. The chef relies on local suppliers for most of the ingredients he uses in his creative dishes. I recommend you start with the chicken liver parfait. It’s light, has a lovely flavor, and is served with a delicious pear and walnut chutney and toasted sourdough bread. The gnocchi, sauteed with eggplant and beans and seasoned with cumin, was a perfect main course. They were crisp on the outside and soft inside, similar to the texture of a knish. If you have room for dessert, the vanilla cheescake drizzled with caramel sauce is excellent. Our tab, including one glass of wine each and tip, was £80. Afterwards we discovered they offer a two-course lunch for only £12, which is an amazing bargain we definitely will try during our next stay in London.

If you are looking for a really posh place to take someone you care about for dinner, this should be on your list. It is a brasserie serving British food and the quality is superb. The drinks menu is extensive but abit on the expensive side, I ordered a white wine to go with my tuna steak which was excellent and very fresh tasting. My sister ordered the special Sausages from Biggles which came with gravy and mashed potato. She could not stop raving about how good it was for about 20 minutes! The service was abit slow but we did not mind as we were simply enjoying the affluent décor and attentive staff were there to take care of you when ever you needed something. I highly recommend this place but be prepared to pay higher than normal prices for your food and especially your drinks. It might be worth having a drink or two before visiting the restaurant :)

If you’re looking for a night out on the swanky side of town, one of the best places to go to is 108 Marylebone. Located just footsteps from Marlylebone High Street, once you enter this lounge and restaurant you’ll immediately transition into a relaxing mood. This place is chic, yet not uptight. You can come here and enjoy a meal for around 15. They also feature a wide array of meat and cheese boards that are big enough for two to share. I love the presentation of the food and the random artwork on the wall.
