All right, food there is OK but I’d rather starve than going back to this awful place. First, it’s the kind of restaurant that made their menu shape in order to trick people and make them pay much more than expected. So many surprises and actual errors on the bill. -«Of course it is not the price of the half bottle ! It is the year !» — it was written 12 next to the half bottle name. I assumed it was the price, I was not the only one. When we started to discuss it with the lady owner she literally became hysterical. Screaming around and shouting at her terrified staff«DIDSHEORDERCHEESEORWHAT ?» Yes I did but I did not know it was an extra, the trap worked ! Congrats ! Everything is charged as an extra there. A burger for them is bread and steak if no extra. God bless the nice waitress handling such a phenomenon everyday. If you are reading this, you have all my support.

The scallop appetizer and duck main are both must order. I would go back again. The service was not great, but we got the feeling the server was in training.

An unassuming type place. A bit less refined than neighboring establishments, but a hearty, tasty menu with good service awaits. The chicken burger(minced) was quite a treat! Massive and £12.75. Served with some slaw, chips and a small salad. I ordered a classic cesar to accompany, with a lot of real anchovies making an appearance! My colleague and I also split the hummus/chicken with pita. That was OK, but did not overly impress. We were seated at a nice table outside in the sunshine. All of the women that helped with our service were very pleasant and kind, and everything arrived as promised. It was a pleasant meal, and for the area — fairly well priced. That chicken burger, mmmmm.

Randomly came across this place last week and decided to have lunch. The Good: *Very welcoming atmosphere… the restaurant was spotless, the décor was pretty and open, and love the outdoor seating and large windows. *Food was very good. My husband and I shared several small plates including a carprese-style salad, mashed potatoes, a chicken/hummus dish that came with the most delicious pita bread(I don’t eat chicken but he loved it), and roasted asparagus. Everything was delicious. *Service was okay. The waitress didn’t speak too much English and the owner(I think) complete ignored us but overall it was fine. The Bad: *Prices for the portion size were disappointing. The Bottom Line: I will definitely return and next time order my own entrée instead of sharing small plates.

Oh eff yeah. I had a rough time finding a restaurant tonight, so I was very pleased to randomly come across this nice place and to get a table to myself. Well, not pleased that I was by myself, particularly, but that’s what happens sometimes. I am traveling for work, you see, I am not just some pathetic loser who goes out to dinner by himself no offense to whomever is reading this and thinking they that’s me! I ordered three things. One. House Chadonnay. Decent. Two. Rocket and Parmesan salad with 12-year aged balsamic. Radical. And it was on 12÷12÷12(is that in the EU or US date format? who knows!?) so that was an extra bonus. 12÷12÷12÷12. Nice. Three, a roasted chicken breast atop french green beans, a sizable helping of pureed sweet potatoes, and a red wine sauce. It was so good! And the price was decent, too. Just about 30 quid or bones or clams or whatever the parlance of our times is. I will come again. But I will not review this place again. Because, why? Zoom makes it sound like a fast food place. I’d maybe change the name. Do it backwards. Mooz. That sounds like a gangsta cow. I dunno. Just call it Good Place. Because that’s what it is. * * * I originally gave this four stars, saved it, posted it, and then wrote another review of a place that I tried to go to earlier in the night that was pretty bad. And it made me realize that Zoom may not be a five-star restaurant every night, but it was a five-star experience for me tonight. It made me happy. And if I never get to go back, I would never have an experience that was anything less than five-star worthy. So, here you go. All five for you, Zoom.

This place is lovely — small, nice atmosphere, well priced food and pretty tasty too. Try the scallops.

I loved Zoom. The food was absolutely delicious, we had the prawns and the scallops as starters and the tuna and duck breast as mains. Could not fault the food in any way. Beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The staff were very warm and welcoming and we had a great evening. Thank you to you all.

I’ll preface this review by saying you really can’t fault the food at this place I have had nothing but good meals the 3 times I have eaten here. The service and demeanor of who I presume to be owner, however, just rubs me the wrong way each and every time I go to this place. The first time I ate lunch here with a girlfriend, we put down say £40 for a £32 bill, expecting changeand nothing came back. When we asked, it turned into this whole ordeal where she couldn’t remember how much we gave her, saying she thought it was a tip(generous one at that! the nerve.), then didn’t believe us when we told her we were owed X back, etc. After literally arguing for about 20 min, we finally came to some kind of agreement, essentially splitting the difference or something mostly just so we could leave. Clearly not about the money, just the principle. Annoying. Another recent visit for lunch, I was told I couldn’t order the starter portion of one of the items on the menu had to order the full entrée size or 2 starters. This would be fine if this was a standing policy, however on my previous 2 visits, I had ordered the starter portion(only 1) of the same exact dish on both occasions with no problems. I asked if it was a new requirement, giving her the benefit of the doubt that it may have just changed in the time since I had been last(mind you, this was all of about 2 wks since my last visit) and was told no, it has been like this forever. Yea, right. All in all, I just feel like the owner of this place tries to screw you over, so I will be taking my business elsewhere. Unfortunate, too, because the food is quite good. If you can put up with being jerked around, then go here, otherwise, there are PLENTY of other places worth your money, and appetite, in this town!

I’ve been there once, it was really pleasant! The staff was quite polite and helpful, and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant in this area.

Very good, basic café fare. Grilled tuna, roasted chicken, burgers. For starters we had chicken liver, asparagus, and calamari. All were good — but the roasted chicken with sweet potato mash and french beans was the standout. I def. return to try other things on the menu. The atmosphere is nice, relaxed and fun.

Relaxed menu and venue. Emphasis on good food here at good prices. Quite upmarket and requires booking. If you don’t book there are plenty of other places in Marylebone High Street to eat.
