There’s something enjoyable about eating in this restaurant, even though the food is a bit bland. I am starting to believe that blandness is actually a flavour in London. At any rate, I ordered the pesto crema penne and added chicken and spinach. I also got the brain power smoothie(mango, banana, pineapple). You stand in a queue on the side for fresh pasta and one of the cooks will ask you what you want while you’re in line and as they make it fresh for you, you pay for it and then wait on the side. Although the pasta was indeed a little bland, the steaming hot lunch made right in front of me made me feel wonderful. The smoothie tasted like all bananas and I didn’t like it so much.

The Amano at Southwark had a renovation and is now opened. I was in there just an hour after the opening. I love the food. Now let’s get down to business… INTERIOR — It’s spacious and big. FOOD — The hot wrapanini is amazing. I ordered the Hot Tuna and the portion was big. Got a green tea with it and it was the best lunch. Have been there couple of times and still a long way to try their amazing menu. Seen jacket potatoes on their menu… maybe next time They have fresh smoothies and they are cheaper than Crussh(next door) I would recommend Amano for a relaxing afternoon :)

This café is always busy and bustling no matter what time of the day. In the morning you will mostly find a host of bleary eyed suits grabbing their early caffeine fix and being hurried along by the staff. The place is so fast paced that sometimes you feel pressure to make your choice without having time to sneak a peek at everything on offer! The range of food and drink is great — I particularly like their smoothies, my favourite being the breakfast booster which is a gorgeous blend of muesli and yogurt and definitely sets you up for the day. The muffins are also delicious and a favourite among the customers. They also offer a good range of milk which is handy if you’re trying to avoid diary and prefer soya or rice milk options. The only downside is that the sandwich bread is slightly on the salty side and the fillings a little rich. All in all a great place to go where you can get a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. Be warned however; it is very loud so if you are looking to grab a quiet coffee, even though there is a nice seating area, it probably isn’t the best choice as is continually busy.
