Awesome little pub in a very deserted industrial area — but worth the trek. Sunday roast is very tasty and an incredible bargain. Drinks are reasonably priced and on a sunny day, the riverside patio is perfect. Also they have a little seafood stand set up there now that serves delicious stuff! For sure worth a visit!

Wouldn’t you know it, the Anchor & Hope didn’t mind that we crashed James’ 40^th birthday party after our game of laser tag. This is really the only pub in kind of a deserted area, so it was pretty good for where it was. Outside there are great views of the Thames Barrier, and the drinks are cheap. There was even a lounge singer to entertain us.

A truly great pub for a night out with friends. The drinks are pretty cheap, so you can drink as much as you like, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t good. The bartenders are very quick on their feet, so even if there is a crowd the night you are going there, you will be served shortly and won’t have to wait long. Another thing you should have in mind is also the fact, that they accept only cash, so keep that in mind before going. Otherwise this place can’t get any better. The staff are very friendly, the people, that go there are a nice company and it also has a great view from the op floor. Totally recommended!

a great pub for a sunny weekend or bank holiday booze up. Sit out on the river and watch the world go by — great sunday lunch.
Dont get caught short the bar only takes cash — no cards accepted at all and no local cash point.
