Been here few times. The price matches the location, the service is just as catholic as in Italy and the food is good. Take a seat outside on a nice day or stay home and order pizza.

I went here with a friend last weekend. We were seated by the stairs which was a slight inconvenience because all the people would pass by us all the time. Apart form that, we had a lovely evening, had some pasta and wine and enjoyed the nice atmosphere.

Was there for NYE Eve, the menu was very tasty. Then a few months later I decided to go back there with some other friends and was quite disappointed by the food. There was nothing special about the chicken-mozzarella I ordered. I even had to ask for salt and pepper as it seemed the cook had forgotten the basics. I won’t go back there, not worth the price.

We had a more positive experience than the other reviewers. Interestingly, our experience with the service was more mixed. The older wait staff were attentive and charming, but the younger staff seemed disoriented and we had to order drinks several times. We also found other tables waiting for their waiters & waitresses to come by after mains were served to offer coffee and dessert. Our local Italian was Osteria Emilia, until it sadly shut down over the summer. We were on the hunt for a new, casual Italian restaurant and stumbled upon this place via Hi-Life Diners, which offers 2for1 courses at select restaurants(and of which I have mixed feelings generally). With a special, Artigiano is reasonably priced and worth visiting. The food can be quite good, depending on what you order. The stracetti came in a mediocre ragu sauce, but the vitello was cooked perfectly and arrived garnished in preserved lemons. I think we would only return if an offer were available, as I agree the standard prices are steep for what you get.

Very nice, but overly priced, Italian restaurant. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the food is good. However the tasty dishes are over priced. The place is slightly pretentious too. It caters for the bourgeois local diners(including Liam Gallagher who is a regular) and is a little too stuck up for my liking. Alll this said the staff are competent and friendly and the manager of the restaurant is very charming. This restaurant is good, but it offers poor value for money. There are lots of Italian restaurants just as good that are much cheaper. Fratelli De Buffola offers is in the area and offers cheaper food that is just as good(if not better). Still if you’ve got £100 to burn and you want to really impress your dining partner, then there are much worse places than this one.

Overpriced, pretentious and mediocre food at best. The plaice had 2(yes, count them — TWO!) tiny cubes of tomato and had no flavor other than extreme saltiness. The rest of the food was not worth the money we paid for it. Avoid. Go, instead, to Belsize Kitchen, a few feet away.

One of the top Italian restaurants in London, but the only problem that takes one star of it is that quality can vary a lot from one day to another.
