Being a bit of a coffee diva and against spending my pennies in mass chained coffee shops Im so glad to have a great coffee shop close to where I live. Artisan is great in fact its hard to stay away when you pass it every morning on the way to work! But it definitely helps me get through the day! Sure this place is busy but I think it adds to the atmosphere! The coffee is great, the foods delicious and the staff a friendly, I highly recommend!

I didn’t eat here so the review is purely down to coffee alone although I’ve heard the food is also good. Fit out looks a bit tired so you probably wouldn’t take s group of friends to WOW them. Coffee(allpress) had great body, served at a good temp and full of chocolate and caramel

I simply can’t pass Artisan when nearby. It has the best coffee I’ve ever tasted and pastries to die for :) It can be busy with parents/young children/people taking some time out from the office to work in a nice environment but you’ll always find somewhere to sit back, chill and watch the world go by :)

I come to this place since it opened. Being a Putney residential, I appreciate more and more shops like this opening on the high streets. Artisan arguably is one of the best coffee places in London, definitely in SW London. I particularly enjoy their flat white. It has the right strength for me. Their snacks and cakes are outstanding as well, however a little on the pricey side. I guess you have to pay for quality. They have outdoor seating. As a keen cyclist I love to sit there and watch all the cyclist going out or coming back from Surrey and Richmond Park. Staff is very friendly as well. If you are are local or visitor to Putney, I strongly recommend to swing by and try out.

Having recently moved offices to Putney, I am still looking for nice places for a good lunch and last week I checked out Artisan. Artisan is a nice and light coffee shop offering a range of savoury and sweet food, and perhaps most importantly Allpress coffee. Allpress is one of my favourite roasters in London, so naturally I quite enjoyed my flat white at Artisan. The food was also very tasty and the overall atmosphere was good. I am sure that I will be back for another lunch soon.

This is a great little place. It has a great vibe, the staff are no-fuss friendly, the food is simple and fresh and the coffee is served in the correct sized cups !!! So if you want to sit quietly above ground and drink great coffee go to Artisan.

I was really pleased when this place opened, since for a long time I’ve thought that Putney needs a cool coffee house. And this place does look cool. However, just like Greg Wallace’s place great premise and presentation; sucky delivery. Firstly, it took me four visits to get a coffee here, because it seems to be permanently filled to the rafters with ‘yummy mummies’, prams and screaming children and the obstacle course and racket made me turn about heel, empty-handed, three times. I’ve since tried it twice. Both times, I had to wait an age for the coffee since they always seem to have a back-up of table-served coffee to make. Plus, the coffee(I had a soya latte) is utterly, perfectly horrible first time(s) I’ve thrown a coffee away. The soya milk they use tasted so bitter; and I couldn’t actually taste any coffee. It’s even worse than Starbucks, which to me is nothing short of dishwater, and should be avoided at all costs. The prices are obscene too I had a regular(I questioned whether they’d given me a small by mistake, it was that tiny) latte, a biscuit, and a slice of cake and left £10.40 lighter. Are you kidding me?! Plus, the food is open right on the counter where you pay, so you end up leaning over it; I also spied flies hurtling around it. Not very appetising or hygienic; they desperately need some glass domes hardly rocket science. I won’t be returning. One star for the décor; another for the interesting/delicious sounding/looking cakes/biscuits/pastries on the counter(even if they do need covering). and the delicious-looking salad that someone was eating when I was there.

It’s nice to see more independent coffee shops pop up around Putney. The coffee and the cakes are good(try the carrot cake!) and it’s quite cozy. I only wish there were more comfy chairs then it would be my go to place.
