We had a decent afternoon tea here for a friend’s hen party. The staff was very nice and the sandwiches were fresh. Loved the dessert that was yogurty and creamy, in a tiny glass. However, for the price, the tea here really doesn’t rank with places like Fortnum and Mason, Brown’s, etc. For one, the tea was in the basement, not the trendy restaurant advertised upstairs. We found that very deceptive, since the photos shows a beautiful, modern restaurant. We picked this one over another place because of those photos. They also offered no refills whatsoever, and the scones seemed slightly overbaked. I wasn’t fond of the salmon sandwiches. Would’ve preferred a more traditional egg mayo or coronation chicken. I’ve definitely had much better afternoon teas in London, and would not recommend this place over others.
