Would love to have come here in its hay day, unfortunately it seems those days are long gone. From the appalling service to the constant ding of a microwave, this place makes you uneasy from the moment you arrive. Tom ka gai was not. It was simply warm coconut milk and stale chicken. Strange flavour in the curry and pad thai. I can’t put my finger on it, but I think it would be sticky if I could.

I have been a regular here for 25 years. Having originally been a greasy spoon, ideal for hiding away from teacher playing video games to becoming one of londons original thai restaurants and what a great one it is too. Cheap and Tasty… exactly what thai food is all about. Its also BYO so no rip off alcohol prices either. AROYMAAKMAAK!!!

Bedlington Café is a no frills Thai café serving great value authentic Thai food. At weekends it is bustling with locals as this is simply one of the best Thais in Chiswick. It may look in dire need of a refurb, but this all adds to the charmalong with signed photos of z list celebrities! I love the Prawn Pad Thai and the Red Duck curry is to die for. They also have a BYO booze policy and don’t charge a corkage fee. In the mornings they also serve fried breakfasts, although grit your teeth for the tea!

Had to laugh the other day when I went in here. Framed up on the wall was a review which included the phrase«…this restaurant masks the fact that it used to be a mecca for Thai food lovers.» Which in someway sums the Bedlington up — it used to be a real find that people travelled miles to come for — a greasy spoon café in the day, a non-nonsense, authentic Thai food emporium(no licence — BYOB) in the eve. All served in that truckers café environment. Sadly its slipped down the rankings and is nothing special. Only really of interest to locals for convenience sake. Shame really.
