HORRIBLE. Don’t get me wrong; the food was alright. But I’ve definitely had better. Why I’m giving 1 star is because of the prices. First, I was charged for tap water. Second, the waiters are VERY pushy and led me to believe that the appetizer they showed me was free, didn’t make it clear what I was getting was actually on the appetizer menu. Third, my lamb tikka masala consisted of 5VERY small pieces of lamb, and I had to order the garlic naan separately. Portions are TINY. Not worth the price.

I’m an American who has very little experience with Indian food. But I was walking by, it smelled good, and one of the waiters came out to greet me, so I went inside.(I was traveling on business and alone.) I got the naan and a lamb dish, with a glass of white wine. I found the waiters to be extremely attentive and helpful. They brought out an appetizer on the house, and explained what everything was for me. I can imagine how an experienced Indian food eater might have different preferences, but I thought the meal was delicious, service was outstanding, and overall a wonderful experience. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

My friends and I were walking around Covent Garden and decided we wanted some Indian food. We walked to a couple restaurants in the area and this one seemed to be the cheapest with a decent menu, so we headed inside. They had just re-opened up for dinner; we had just gotten out of lecture, so it was a pretty early dinner. We got several dishes and tried each others’ food. We got an appetizer, the Indian version of crisps and it came with two different dips. I really enjoyed my dishes — potatoes cooked in a spice sauce and meat-filled nan. My friends’ chicken marsala was pretty good along with the spinach. I can’t believe they charged extra for rice to go along with the chicken marsala; shouldn’t it have come with it? The price wasn’t bad for dinner since I ordered a smaller dish with nan. The waiters were attentive, coming by several times to refill our drinks and to ask if we needed anything. Later more customers entered the restaurant.

Hi All, I would rate Bhatti on following aspects as mentioned under: a) Food Quality/Quantity b) Service c) Ambiance d) Menu Type e) Cost/meal a) Food Quality/Quantity: It’s fine 3⁄5. With not much choice available in the menu you need to go with regular stuff which is prepared using normal highly available ingredients and many spices which are costly/rarely available are missing in the dishes though the cost of dishes do not reflect this at all, it’s on higher side. b) Service: I would rate service as 1⁄5. I guess because of space constraints they need to rush everything a lot, Staff communication skills is below par, I mean really bad. Although, One guy is standing in front of the door of this restaurant to pull you in with the warm greeting but once you are in you are in different world. Service charges are already included in the bill so why would they care to do anything special. I would never prefer to go in any restaurant whose service is this bad. I mean, when you go out for your meals and pay reasonably high price than how can staff their treat you for granted. I liked one British Sandwich joint near by this place whose sandwich was delicious, decently heavy and all the 10 minutes when I was there in the café i was made really comfortable by gentleman there and the surprise is that cost me 3.5 pounds. I spent 30 minutes in this restaurant with a bill of 40 pounds and whenever there was interaction with staff(for order/bill, getting water) I was made to feel as if I am asking big favors from these esteem service guys. c) Ambiance — 1⁄5 — There is not much to talk about ambiance of this place. It’s smaller than my car garage. with literally people bothering each other to sit on their seats. As it’s so congusted the noice level of the place is really high and if you don’t have anything to do than you can easily hear complete conversation going around 3 – 4 tables on your left right or back. d) Menu Type: 2⁄5 — Not much options available. Beer/Wine menu sucks. I mean, i know it’s Indian themed restaurants but only Cobra/Kingfisher &1 Austrailian beer in menu looked really less to me. e) Cost/meal — 2⁄5 — Food expensive as compare to other restaurants of this area when compared one to one with quantity and quality. For example, the kulfi they offer is easily available in any Indian store for dirt cheap but they sell it for quite some price and that kulfi is no where near what kulfi is all about. I guess, all in all 2 star is very liberal rating for this restaurant from my side

Never had Indian Food before, and got the most British dish they had. Had the Chicken Tikka and it was good.

We weren’t really looking for Indian food when we passed by Bhatti, but it smelled good and we were starting to get hungry before heading out on our journey so we stopped in and were pleasantly surprised . Bhatti wasn’t the cheapest or really the best Indian food I have had in London, but it was pretty good. We were the only people in the restaurant and didn’t get much attention. a few water refills. do other Indian restaurants in London charge you extra for rice with dishes that should come with it? It isn’t a vegetarian restaurant but we did OK finding some options on the menu.
