Solid new walk-up coffee spot in Shoreditch… Housed in the outdoor/enclosed patio of Floripa,(formerly home to Giddy Up Coffee, not sure where they’ve relocated their cart to) — Black Box fills the gap of coffee houses in Shoreditch. JUSTKIDDING. There are about 432 coffee shops within a 1 minute radius of this place, but no matter… COFFEEEEEE! Bonus: They serve«crodoughs» from Rinkoff’s Bakery. Basically a cronut without patent infringement. If you aren’t counting your calories, do yourself a treat. My single latte was quite nice, at £2.50 its about on par with the area, maybe a bit more… but that latte leaf pays for itself, amiright?! The guys weren’t particularly overly friendly, but again… on par with a Shoreditch coffee joint. I like being able to walk up with my dog and grab a cup, so I’m a fan. No muss, no fuss. Nice outside seating in this«mini-square» sandwiched between Great Eastern Street/Paul Street/Tabernacle Street… whereas you can look upon the traffic and hustle and bustle of Old Street and contemplate your day’s events with some caffeine and fresh air. *cash only.
