I kinda like this place because it’s more like a modern bar than a pub… big, open, full of handsome young professionals(well, at least moi). On my visit it seemed to be full of locals and Londoners just off work/meeting friends, which surprised me because it’s so near to a major tourist epicenter. They also have happy hour, though it’s «but one complicate cocktail and get one free.» If they extended this to simple drinks, I’d give them another star.

actually been here twice this past weekend. was on our way to Maddox and stopped by here for a drink beforehand. which ended up being an entire bottle of cava. so they don’t serve cava and champagne by the flute, just by the bottle. so in the spirit of Friday night, we got a bottle and zipped right through it. the venue is like a high-end pub, almost a bar except the seating layout is definitely more of a pub feel. and since it was Friday evening and located in Mayfair, the crowd was dressed pretty nicely. went back here Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was significantly more pub than bar this time. lots of dudes having a beer and watching the tennis match on the big screen. a chill place to pop in to get away from the rain if you’re shopping on oxford street, drinks are decently priced, so why not?

Not a bad place to go but not a place to seek out… Had a pint of Guinness and some bangers and mash before my second meeting of the day, so I had time to spare. Shortly before noon, it was empty. Ni even asked the bartender if they served lunch then just to be sure. They did. The Guinness was ok. It had a disappointing head. The food was ah, ok, I guess. The mash were probably fake and seemed a bit reheated. They were attached to the plate in a shape that left me somewhat uncomfortable. The bartender was nice but nearly forgot to return my credit card. Eek. The place does offer respite from the overly posh types on Bond Street.

Fairly inoffensive wine bar /pub tucked away in a side street in Mayfair. Perfect for pre-christmas work drinks, they have a main bar a lower mezzanine and a basement restuarant. We had reserved the mezzanine and had waitress service all night, which made it much easier to get a drink. Even on a Thursday it wasn’t too crowded and they have the usual uninspiring food choices of burgers, chips etc. And TV screens for football if that’s your thing. A portion of chips was a fairly cheap £2.50 and came in a size to match. Meh.

Started our hen night with an inclusive meal at Bonds. They managed to cram 3 hen nights into one room downstairs, which was fun but a nightmare when you needed to move out of our seats! The menu was included in a deal, so we had a few options and a free drink included. The problem came when 3(out of 17) of our meals arrived… and it took ten minutes for the rest to arrive. Considering it’s just a basic scampi and chips/burger menu, it seemed a bit strange to have to wait that long. Otherwise, I’m sure it’s a nice enough restaurant for a quick and affordable bite to eat and a few cheeky after-work drinks.

I was stopping in Mayfair and almost gave up hope of finding a good meal at a reasonable price(my hotel was after £40 per head). Found Bonds to be perfect, cost about £25.00 for 2 main courses and 3 drinks. Staff were friendly and bonds was clean. In this area at these prices I couldn’t have found a better place.

Not a bad little boozer tucked away on a quite back street near Regent Street. Used to go here after work and it was always pleasant enough. There is a really busy nightspot /club just yards away so it gets busy in the evenings and weekends and benefits to some degree from the overspill form the other place. Good place for shoppers to stop off at for some lunch and relax and recharge for a bit. In terms of evenings it gets its fair share of after work drinkers and then Thursday, Friday and Saturday it gets a lot of people in for the night. All in all a pretty standard pub but worth popping into maybe en-route to the club just yards away or some of the other good bars that are in the area.

Pretty standard, unremarkable modern style pub just behind Bond St tube(they say it is Mayfair). Staff were very nice, food reasonable, décor modern, football on the TV and a nice friendly vibe. My complaint was that you could be in a pub in any city.

Great pub/restaurant tucked away nicely in Mayfair. Drinks, food, service available all day, this dark wooded posh pub is popular with business-types and upper-class shoppers by day. I might also note that the aformentioned crowd can tend to while away said days drinking, so if you turn up in the afternoon, be prepared for noise! If you’re ever in the area and fancy a nibble and a drink, do try Bond’s.
