I hadn’t had much American food since being here in London, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this chain. But when I ordered the Smoky, I got a big burger with great tasting beef(super juicy!). The quality of the beef itself was enough to make me consider going back at a later time!

«Proper hamburgers» I only had a Greek salad… which was excellent. Tons of olives and feta on top of their house, fresh dressing. my husband had the burger. It was just ok. Meat was a little dry, but the cheese and fried onions and bbq sauce was great. The skin on chips were decent… nothing too great to write about. It was a good lunch, not great.

Excellent burgers in terms of value for money. Chips are pricey but they have to find their profits somewhere. Great business concept executed with friendly smiles and precision. Good customer service changing the face and feel of diner style eating concept. I’d love to know how quality the beef really is since I generally avoid commercial beef because of high hormone /bios etc that feeds into the supply to sustain these numbers and flow. But I guess that’s the beauty of many places like this– it’s well guarded and all we can ever really decide is does it taste good? And the answer is a resounding yes!

The french fries were nothing special. The salad was quite big. I could have easily felt full with it only. Really enjoyed the lemonade though. Real freshness!

The burgers taste decent but nothing fantastic or impressive. Food is overpriced and service is average. Holy Cheesemas is nice but not worth the price.

The burger is a little overpriced but tasteful! They have a variety of interesting beers but again they are over 4.5 pounds… It is nice for a dinner in the week. We were 4 people and had 3 burgers with 3 beers each and we paid 100 pounds!

I do not want your cheddar, your Swiss or your American. I demand the thing that should be a universal right. Goats cheese on my damn burger! After coming here I’m starting to demand it of other burger joints and none can deliver. When we first came here the server suggested it and I’ve never looked back. A ‘Byron’ burger with goats cheese is truly the bomb! We have also tried the ‘Miami Slice’ which comes a close second as it has beef crackling as a garnish! You must have the courgette fries. Two burgers and this tasty revelation was perfect to look after two people though I did feel for the price there should have been an included small side option. Each time we have been here the service has been exemplary with helpful friendly servers and fast service in a nice art deco-y diner-ey environment. This is especially true after a long day being nerdy at the museums. Even when food was delayed(they inexplicably had no burgers!) they gave us complementary nachos(good guacamole) to ease the wait. That said, the explosion of posh burgers has greatly inflated the price and this is on the higher end of what I’d feel is reasonable. Overall this is really nice place with premium burgers that in years to come, when the goats cheese in a burger revolution is in full swing, is where it all began.

This is the most ponsy burger joint I have ever been to, but the burgers were very good. Go for the hand cut chips! Service was very good, too.

I am fond of GOOD hamburgers, though I seldom find what I am looking for in London. The two places that really made what I consider a decent hamburger were the now defunct ‘Wolfe’s”(still one in Covent Garden) on Knightsbridge and the ‘Texas Lone Star’ mini chain, also closed down. I also thought the US chain ‘Wendy’s’ was the best fast food hamburger joint but they too no longer have UK branches! I think GBK(Gourmet Burger Kitchen) are quite good but lack the juicy succulence that I admire in a top patty. Byron is one step closer to what I am after. The burger patties are just better than their competitors. The chips are OK but I would happily nix them to avoid a few carbs. The service at this South Kensington branch is fine and despite being only a few doors away from a GBK I think they are a welcome addition to Old Brompton Road. RECOMMENDED!

I love Byron. As I was usually nearby for school, few friends and myself love to indulge a good burger once in a while. I usually go to the one in Gloucester road, unfortunately it was closed ! But I would say that overall the byron burger in old brompton road is nicer ! I loved the overall look of the place and the staff was really nice to us. I love the little booth they have, although we sat on a big table to accommodate our big bunch of 10. What can I say about the food? It is absolutely delicious as always, and I had the cheeseburger. Of course they are happy to make the burger the way you want it cook: it would be medium unless you ask anything else. I love mine well done and without tomato ! The French fries are good, et the milkshake is amazing ! And you can specify you are sharing a milkshake and they will split the milkshake in two they bringing it to the table.

Yeah, it’s just a burger, but it’s actually pretty good(and not overcooked like most burgers in England). What you should get excited about though is the milkshake! Chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or oreo… and it’s a real American style milkshake made with ice cream, not just thick chocolate milk. Byron also does a lot to promote Movember, which raises money for prostate cancer research and other men’s health issues. So if you’re there during the 11th month of the year and see a lot of moustaches, that’s why!
