I’ve been to a few Byron locations and it kills me that they aren’t consistent. The service is generally fine, this location included — but this particular location has a problem. A BIG problem. Whoever adds the condiments to the burgers literally drowns them in mayo. And I’ve gone at all hours too. I never had an issue with the other locations, particular the one next to Holland Park, I really liked that one. And I try to remember to ask for mayo on the side but if I forget — ooooh boy, I’m quickly reminded of my error. It’s so damn gross that I refuse to eat there any more. To make matters worse, I ordered a burger with cheddar today and even the cheddar tasted bad. I only took 3 bites before setting it aside. I’ve also found that all their sides(chips, courgette fries, onion rings) all taste way too deep fried as well. Sorry Byron. Between the mayo madness, oily ickinness and the cheddar taste — I’m not returning. For the price — it should be MUCH more gourmet! Maybe it’s only worth going for the beer and tortilla chips/guacamole?

I ordered the Byron burger and found it lacking in sauce a little. Nothing bad, but nothing at all special about the burger itself, though the bacon was ok. The fries were a bit lacklustre. Ordered a glass of rosé and it came to the table a lot on the warm side. Those stupid catchup glass bottles that are a pain on the backside. Not everyone is good with them and I ended up with catchup on my lap. Service was attentive and polite, but not sure if it’s enough to overlook the overall blandness and carelessness with drink temperatures; you do not serve someone tepid rosé on a warm day. :/

Byron Camden Town is excellent. The burger was great the new Byronissiomo was very tasty. Cheese, burger, mayo, etc. You get the picture. However the chips were a bit small and not very tasty. The waitress was really lovely and I am glad that have a local burger joint of such high quality.

Again, we had a wonderful service from the staff. They were so well trained and when they came to your table, they lowered themselves to our eye level and spend time talking to you. Jessica was very friendly and chatty and she had great personality; she was excellent with kids at the next table. The manager was down-to-earth and created a wonderful team; their service was flawless. We tried their new Byronissiomo with an Italian twist. It came with Pancetta, Fontina, Pickled Red Onions, Tomato Relish(a bit too garlicky for me), Lettuce and Tomato. It was very tasty but the bun, particularly the top part, was cold. I found out that their Brioche Bun did not contain any egg or milk, hence the dry texture. Also the patty was overcooked again; I always order medium but have never got one yet. If the cooking matches the service, I am happy to give them 5 star.

Boasting for the title of Proper Hamburgers, Byron is one of my favourite burger chains in London. All the different venues have their distinctive décor but with the same slightly hipster vibe of ‘we have almost finished buildings this place but salvaged some materials for the final place and a bit of the wall is still exposed’. All the burgers are really good but I recommend trying their seasonal ones that change every so often and are extra awesome! In any case Byron know how to make a good burger!

As with all the Byron outposts, here you’ll find good burgers and friendly service in a fairly hip, well appointed environment. This Camden branch has provided me with a few decent meals over the years, and for that I am grateful. A reliable spot. Recommended.

How much is there to write about a burger place? We were seated immediately. They took our order. We received burgers. I had one with bacon and bbq sauce. No– it was not as good as the burgers back home — but it did the trick. —It is super weird having to order bacon as «streaky bacon» but well worth it. Desserts were unremarkable.

With so many great burger places in London this Byron, at least, is really nothing special. While the staff are nice enough, my burger was overcooked and under-seasoned and swimming in mayo, while half of my five onion rings still had the skin on them. If I learned one thing from this less than impressive meal, it’s that being able to cook is a useful life skill. It dawned on me that I must save a ton of money each month, and in turn enjoy way better food, by rarely wasting my time with places like this. In the future when I’m craving a burger I’ll try a bit harder to find that Honest Burger branch I think is nearby(although untested, I’ve always thought there food was way better). Alternately, if in the area and hungry go cheap and cheerful with a picnic from Pret, walk to Melrose and Morgan in Primrose Hill, or browse some of the food vendors across the canal in the market. Look, it’s not bad, I’ve just experienced better. And at this price it really should be better.

Byron provides great burgers with thorough quality across their chain. There are a wide variety of sides and extra toppings and the beef is top quality. The salads come in hearty portions as well so you won’t go hungry and they share the same quality that the burgers do. This is also a chain with a really good choice of alcoholic beverages at an average price for eating out. In terms of this specific location, the Camden venue is one of the friendliest restaurants I’ve eaten at whilst in London. The staff are lovely and are always happy to help out. The only problems is that being in the middle of a tourist hot spot it can sometimes be difficult to get a table at peak times(weekends). However they do take bookings and are welcoming of large groups. They’re also really great with kids and provide crayons etc. If you’re living in London, near Camden, I recommend popping in regularly and learning some of the staff names. It really makes for a pleasant eating experience.

Topically(well, off by a bit) I can totally understand why Georgie Obsorne would get himself a Byron burger. And why he chose to eat out. Great quality food served in a near kitsch environment with staff who are both friendly and disgruntled at the same time(that is different people, not bipolar folks)… Would benefit from losing the more misery faced of the staff so that the customers can concentrate on the really great burgers, the super crunchy fries and the near best onion rings I’ve ever tasted. Very good indeed.

I’ve always been a bit of a byron fan! Been to various branche and always had a nice time. I wouln’t recommend the olives as they were super salty so couldn’t eat too many of them, but then again that might be your thing! I had a skinny chilli burger(which is just basically the same but without the bun) and instead of fries, had a side salad with it! lovely and surprisingly healthy for a burger restaurant!

I know Byron like to be quirky with their décor, and maybe their interior designer has a real fear of using the same theme twice, and has run out of(decent/tasteful) ideas Only that can be the explanation for the gaudy and intentionally faux-shit get-up of this place. They’ve tried to mimic a staff canteen from the late sixties, with horrid orange tiles, plastic chairs and even a fake old TV to match the theme. A décor should be impressive and/or not distracting from the food, and that isn’t the case here. That being said, you know what you’re getting at Byron — ok to decent burgers and an array of sides and quirky drinks and desserts. You can’t go wrong with the Byron Burger in my eyes(even if it is £2 too expensive). We were a little miffed about being made to wait in the strange holding pen whilst being able to see empty tables that were available. When we were let in, the staff were friendly, just erring on the right side of uninterested. Go to other Byrons. If you’re in the area and refuse to eat burgers anywhere else, then you’ll need some sunglasses to tone down the garish walls. In fact, try not to look up from the table at all, you’ll likely just get angry.

HEYBYRON: get over yourself. No? OK, I’LL get over YOU, then. Ha! Wasn’t that clever? No, it was not. But neither is your ploy of serving a very nice decent wellspoken cleanshaven mannerminding bacon cheeseburger for THATMUCHDAMNMONEY. I have never had a $ 14.8/£9.25 bacon cheeseburger before, but I have had many a more memorable one. Oh, example? Sure! Like, uh, The Cherry Cricket in Denver. $ 7/£4.4 for essentials, $ 11/£6.9 for a gloriously happy ending(no no not that way, I mean in your mouth). Man. For serious. In London: a person can take £7.5 to The Wild Game Co. in King’s Cross or wherever they’re set up and get«Venison burger served on a toasted brioche with caramelised onion, melted cheese, smoked crispy bacon, cherry tomato, red currant jelly and Dijon mustard». Catch that? «Venison burger served on a toasted brioche with caramelised onion, melted cheese, smoked crispy bacon, cherry tomato, red currant jelly and Dijon mustard». Mmkay.(source: facebook, 07÷12÷12) Sorry, detour. Just, like… yeah. Byron. What’s your deal? You got that cool sleek nouveau-diner pro-tradition anti-nostalgia décor: «Tunnel vision to pure burgertime MMM!!» it screams. i.e. Your aesthetic suggestion is that I will be presented with a burger of note, pared down to a celebration of fundamentals: the meat will be ultra-beefy or indulgently cooked in a masterful black-and-blue fashion or sooo attractively seasoned, the bacon will be lovemade all the way(cf. my review on a certain ‘Goose the Market’), the bun will cradle its contents with JUST the right texture and real-bread depth of flavour; SOMETHING, for my £9.25-no-fries-with-that order, will be profound. Well. To/at your table I came/didn’t come, y’know? It was nice and tasty. It was cooked well(i.e. medium). The bacon was not pathetic or anything. There was cheese of some sort. It was in no way profound. £9.25. Meh. The«pared down» motif showed strongest in the form of the Great White Sea of Plate, a lonely pickle canoe solipsistically suspended between outer shore and central Burger Island. The pickle did taste quite good. But look: austerity, with no particular in-mouth justification. I mean, if you’re gonna be expensive and not sensorily singular, at least be calorically indulgent! Throw that burger in a basket under a heaping American-fries pile and leave me too sated to analyse. Dirty and remorseful over prim and anticlimactic. Otherwise I might leave you a 2 star Unilocal review and THEN what’ll you say, huh!!!

I know Byron is a chain but so far this is my first and only experience(having moved to London literally a week before trying this spot). So I have nothing to compare to considering other Byrons. Still, this one? Pretty top notch. We went to Byron after a night of drinking on Camden Beach. It was near closing and we were wondering how they would take us coming in so late. Turns out — damn well! They were friendly, all smiles and super chatty. We sat down and were given menus right off and our server checked on us throughout the meal, in between preparing to close. Now that’s solid. I got th Byron Burger which was pretty good. Lots of topping, meat well cooked but the buns needed to be toasted. Ordered onion rings with them and they were hot! Amazingly hot, too hot to even bite into when they came to our table. Mmm,. They did forget to make our onion rings with the food but made them quickly and brought them out. No harm, no foul. Also, I loved the indie rock music(Gotye! The Drums! Yes.) But for no reason, sometimes songs would play and then immediately repeat. That was a little distracting. Overall though, a nice spot for a last meal.
