As my nearby hotel believes that £22 is a reasonable price to charge for a plate of eggs, I went to Unilocal in search of answers. What I found was exactly what I was looking for in Café Rest. A no-frills type place with solid food for a reasonable price(£5 with a tea/coffee!). Upon ordering the«full English, with no meat» I was met with«Are you a vegetarian?» My response in the affirmative was then offered a fantastic vegetarian breakfast option, listed on a side menu board I failed to notice earlier. Needless to say(check out the photo) that I was well stuffed until the late afternoon. This place is a gem of a «Diner»(as we call them in NYC) in Shepard’s Bush. Highly recommended for a cheap/quick meal.(and they have«all day breakfast»)

Yummy, like mummy. It’s quite cozy and full of friendly locals. Come here and get away from all the tourist riffraff. Price point is great. Only 5£ you’ll get a full English breakfast with bottomless tea or coffee. I got the grilled veggies, egg, beans, chips, and toast combo. I must admit, it was the cheapest and the yummiest meal I’ve had in London. Just one complaint, as a ketchup freak, their ketchup looked a bit funky. Not that it’s rubbish, it’s just a little off. It was bright red(sweet n’ sour type) and tasted sweeter than the ketchup I’m used to. Not sure if it’s a UK thing, but it did the job. Other than that, if I’m ever in London again, I’ll be pleased to come back… And with my own bottle of ketchup LULZ!!!
