American here on business. The food hit the spot. I had a burger with cheese and bacon with fries. It was tasty. Service was good.

Very poor service. Including by manager. Very low attention to customers ’ request. Food was generally okay, but the bun of of the burger was really poor quality. Price is low, so is everything else.

I would give a 3.5 if i could. this a modest but good place with great service and an interesting menu. You will get out with a ten pound meal and drink and that is not bad for this area. The pasta’s are just average but they do a good job on hamburgers and let you substitute a baked potato for the usual fries. Fish and chips is a treat with a huge chunk of fish and salad along with the requisite fries. i will recommend this for anyone with a family looking for a place to enjoy a quiet nourishing meal. Same menu evening and noon and an advertised special each day.

I enjoyed this place both times i ate there. They had a good few items on the menu that as a vegetarian i could enjoy. Second time i went the weather was warmer and they had tables & heaters outside. The décor here is fun to look at while you eat. the staff pleasant & helpful.

My friend, and fellow Qyper, Kristiana and I ate here recently. It’s aimed fairly and squarely at the tourists’ tastebuds so don’t expect anything revolutionary or value-driven. What you get is standard American burger bar fare jazzed up with daft names. You could have The Time of Your Life no, that’s not an over-the-top recommendation it’s what the fish and chips option is called(really). Kristiana had a hamburger topped with mushroom. Does Jimmy the Gent come with cheese? she asked the waiter, which startled me. He just nodded nonchalantly. Cagney’s website claims that this is London’s oldest restaurant established 1978. I don’t know about you, but I’ve eaten in KFCs that are older than that.

Went to Cagney’s for lunch one day after classes and got a lunch special-great price-not such great food. Sorry to say, you get what you pay for! I sort of felt like I was at the school cafeteria with watery pasta and red sauce with a side salad made of mostly iceberg lettuce. It filled me up, but was not as good as I had heard. My flatmate’s parents went there for breakfast one morning when they were in town and said they had some really great omelettes. It’s a fine place that has a very small family business feel with a nice location.
