I will NEVER go to Cantuccio again, ever. My pasta was so salty, I was crunching undissolved granules. I glugged down so much water, feeling embarassed about it & making a fuss with my partner there after our lovely day out. Her pizza looked great whilst it was openly being made near the clay oven but she told me it was nothing special. I eventually asked the waitress to take my plate 10 minutes after I’d stopped eating. She asked the usual«was all ok» and I apologised and told her it was so salty I had to stop. I could see her speaking to the chef and looking over at me. My pallate had been wiped out by the salt and I genuinley couldnt eat another thing. Just like when we were sat there waiting almost having to Mexican wave to order, they steadfastly avoided us on a 30% full Saturday night until I caught the waitress’ attention as she scutled past out table. No apologies from them, no discount or nicety, nothing. As we snaked through the restaurant, they never said anything to us, no even a goodbye. They just stared. We felt strongly enough to write this review. We always pass Cantuccios and wondered what it was like. We were due to go to Donna Margherita which has great, realisable service but thougth it was a little out of our way after a busy day of shopping. we will not make that mistake again.

Yes, I am pizza lover. I love pizza. Yes I do. This is a great place for grabbing a slice of pizza at a reasonable price. The pizzas are very thin(nice) and always tasty from the wood burning oven. I’ve been here twice now and been more than happy with my experience. Only downside is that the non-pizza dishes don’t really look like they’re worth the money. But if you’re going to go to a pizza place and not eat pizza it’s your own fault to be honest. Plus, all the pizzas are below ten quid and massive, so you can’t really go wrong. The pizzas don’t have the wow factor /taste that this place needs for it to be a knock our joint, but it’s reliable nevertheless for some decent pizza action. Also, the wine is pretty gash and is well overpriced. My advice, get tanked up on the brill natural wines over the road at Artisan and Vine, and then before you get too squiffy, head to Cantuccio for a slice of pizza. The best of both worlds. And if you are going to drink wine here, stick to the cheaper house ones, as you’ll get no better quality for the more expensive ones. Bangedy bang.

Cantuccios is a nice family run restaurant with friendly staff, nice ambience and clean and stylish décor. The wine menu is simple but good. The food is similar in that they have stripped away the old menu and reintroduced and simple and basic menu of pizzas and pastas and main dishes of meat or fish, with an added list of daily specials, but the food is prepared to an excellent standard and the price isnt going to break the bank(although it is a little more on the pricey side). I would highly recommend a meal here since it changed back to the original owners.
