The owner is away — hope he and his family are unaffected by the recent tragic events in Paris — usually great food and his style of service is an acquired taste. Once acquired you realise he’s authentic. Today was interesting — asked for a croissant(plain) — out came a brioche shaped like a croissant. When I commented on this, I could see the server thinking of what to say. No apology just a ‘this is how we ALWAYS make them’. Interesting response given that the cheese filled croissants looked nothing like the brioche sculptured like a croissant. Why not just apologise rather than try to come up with a false story. Looking forward to the owner returning. Again hope your family and relatives are well. Apart from food being a huge factor in a successful food establishment the other is service. Such a shame that the face of a business is usually taken up by those daydreaming about where else they could be: boredom and indifference.

Nice French café — good for light(ish) meals to eat in or take away. Think £5 for a baguette sandwich, £7.50 for a croque monsieur or similar, £4 for a cake or piece thereof. Brunch/breakfast is also good, and there are a small selection of French grocery items to choose from. Not especially cheap, mind, but a good place to linger on a lazy afternoon.

Deli boutique is one of my favourite places in clapham junction, The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the food is amazing best croque Madame I’ve ever tasted, and their breakfast baguette is the perfect hangover cure! Servings are huge but you’ll finish every bite!

An amazing French Deli in the Heart of St John’s Hill. The staff are always welcoming and the French owner a very polite and friendly man. The food is brilliant. I had the builders breakfast for £4, which you got a cup of coffee, bacon, sausage, egg and a freshly cooked bread roll. Great value! Give it a try! K x

Deli Boutique is a lovely little French delicatessen, bakery and café. It’s ideal for picking up some freshly baked bread and pastries at the weekend and they do adorable miniature croissants, pain-au-chocolat and the the swirly ones with raisins. They’re a delicious little mouthful with a coffee(and because they’re small you don’t have to choose between them, just have one of each!). They stock homemade jams and condiments and also make a variety of other food on the premises to take-away or eat in, such as pies, lasagna, sandwiches and croques, as well serving coffee and other hot drinks. According to their website they’ve also just started offering savoury galettes and sweet crepes on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday — still yet to try one although fully intend to, if I can only get there when it’s open. They close early evening and their hours seem slightly flexible, so don’t be surprised if you find they’re late to open or have closed up shop a bit earlier than expected.

Deli Boutique is not a delicatessen which offers a huge range of cured meats or cheeses. Instead, it is more of a café with tasty pastries to enjoy in the morning followed by more substantial snacks later in the day. I can certainly recommend the croque monsieur in the later category and the minature pain au raisin in the former. Enjoying these treats is further enhanced if you can grab a seat in the small garden area at the rear of the restaurant. On a warm summer day it feels more like somewhere you might holiday in France than St. John’s Hill. The sole negative is the coffee which is, for my palate, well below par. On one occasion my double espresso was more akin in size to an americano. On another my macchiato arrived looking more like a latte. This could be forgiven if the coffee itself was top notch. However, my espresso tasted both burnt and bitter. Consequently, I now order drinks that come from a bottle on my visits!

It was a rainy, miserable morning. We got out of bed around 10.00. Hungry, we decided to have some brunch somewhere. We always pass a little café called the Deli Boutique on my way to work. It looks good from the outside, and always planned to try it one day and today seems to be the lucky day. It’s definitely bigger than how it looks from the outside. What I like about is the sitting area in the little ’ orangerie’. It has a very French feeling about it. The coffee was very good. It s quite difficult to get a perfect cup of coffee; and the coffee here has to one of the best. I had two cups of Café Latte. Ordered myself a crêpe with ratatouille, egg and cheese. It was served with some salad. Great for light lunches or brunches. Very French. I love French and I loved it! We had some desert; the crème brulee was prepared to perfection. Wasn’t very happy with the Tiramisu. Needed more espresso and Marsala wine! In short, it’s lovely place with average but lovely food. Fresh baked bread everyday is a plus point. It’s reasonable and so near to home, the ambience overwhelmed the food. But both together it’s perfect. This could be on of my regular Sunday brunch hang outs! I would recommend it to anyone who lives near Wandsworth or Clapham Junction.

Seems to be a conversion of a regular suburban house, complete with long narrow garden, to become a small restaurant, delicatessen and café. The garden is lovely to sit in and have your meal — I had the day’s special which was lasagne. Very pleasant.

One of the best neighborhood spots in Wandsworth /Clapham Junction area. The owner is a lovely french man which is reflected in everything about this place — from the delicious sandwiches on true baguettes, to the fantastic cups of coffee, to the relaxed«country french» vibe. One of my favorite activities was to sit with a book, a cup of their soup of the day, and a sandwich for a few hours in their sunroom. Absolute bliss. Great neighborhood place which you would walk by if you didn’t know where it was.

I love this place. The selection of fresh, tasty salads, bread, cheeses and meats is amazing, and it’s got a beautiful little garden area the back where you can enjoy a coffee in the sun away from the street. Highly recommended — I almost don’t want to share it, but I’d be heartbroken if it closed! Go, people — support your local deli :-)
