Another Cass another £20 escapes my pocket for some creative bit or bob I think I need in this place. There always seems to be something on special offer that I could really use… for something… one day… sigh«chucks in box in room» Came in for some fishing wire(Thanks Melissa W!) to hang some foam board posters and they did have it but in like 5 meter segments in the modeling section and I needed something longer. I walked around and found nylon thread in a jewelry store around the corner but then came back into Cass again to look for pliers. The clerk happily sent me in the direction of a hardware store down the street. Plus he had injured his leg but still walked with me to the spot on the isle my wire was. Such honorable gentlemen work in this establishment.

Really small store with a good selection(though it’s nowhere near comprehensive). The prices are fantastic, and the staff is amazing — really helpful, really friendly; they know their shit! I came here for gouache paint and walked out with an additional sketchbook, watercolour set, paintbrush, gluestick, canvas bag(which is great, by the way — it’s really deep and sturdy and holds a lot of stuff) and a brand new 15% student discount card. Definitely recommended.

OMG what a great shop! I used to go to Graphic centre in Covent Garden, but this one is so much cheaper! Probably the only ‘speedball’ brand seller in London(UK?). Really helpful staff and their prices are un-beatable. As stationery addict I am holding myself back from flagship store in Islington :)))

As an avid crafter, and given London’s derth of craft shops, I often frequent Cass Art for supplies. They stock a good range of art & craft supplies and stationery. I’m particularly impressed with the range of Promarkers(alcoholo bases graphic colouring medium) that they stock, and at quite a reasonable price(especially in their sales). I often leave Cass Art with more than I intended to buy, but then, I’m a stationery addict!

This shop saved my life… well it saved my exhibition more like it. It carries things that artists need that I could not find in any other store in central London. I needed fishing wire of all things to hang a giant Owl, yes it sounds strange but that what I needed. Just a few hours before the exhibition was to open and I had 40 artists waiting to see how I had designed the layout and someone walks off with out fishing wire. Cass Art will always be deer to my heart. The people in the shop are really helpful because they are artists themselves. The goal of the shop is to carry the best quality products with the most affordable prices. What is painted on these canvases could be in museums 100 years from now so they need to be able to last. Students, which are numerous in London, get an extra 10% off and they do carry gift cards if you are looking for a present for your art student loved one.

Really great art supplies shop, they have anything and everything you could want. Look out for their sales and special offers, they recently had 2 for 1 on tins of paint. They have a great stock of pencils, frames, paints, canvases, and art sets. They also have an amazing selection of fabric paints. A must visit if you’re an artist, or just enjoy pretending to be Rolf Harris. Can you guess what it is yet?

I really love this art store. It’s got everything you would need /want art wise. The whole shop is laid-out pretty well and the staff are really helpful and friendly. There are often deals instore and, I must say, there is a great selection of charcoals and pencils, which is what I always use anyways. I’d highly recommend this if you are at art school, an art buff or you just want to pick up a pencil and start drawing.

Cass Art in Soho is very reasonably priced considering it’s location. This is key in it’s manifesto– that art should be affordable to everyone. CASS art on Berwick Street isn’t a huge store but has everything you would need on an every day basis from sketchbooks to paints to canvases. They have very good sales in here, and you can get some good deals. They also offer their own brand products for anyone really on a budget. I would actually recommend coming here for stationary as it seems to be much more reasonably priced for the basics such as notebooks than other similar stores in the soho area. The Flag Ship store in Islington is over 3 floors, which is more like it, but if you need an art supply that you just can’t find in the likes of WHSmith, then CASS art is recommended.
