Would give them a 4 star if it’s not because of their bacons were too salty … However the beef patties were very nice with cheese. Buns were pretty good. Fries were average!

Fantastic burgers. The menu is limited to two type of burgers, with or without bacon and two type of fries, curly or straight cut. It’s in a very small metal container like building in the car park round the back of pizza east. This is a great place for a blowout lunch, takeout or just popping in for a meal for one. This isn’t a relaxed take your time evening meal kinda place but more a stuff you face and go kind of place.

I’ve been to the Whitechapel one and quite like it though it’s a stretch of road that is quite random. I sat outside and had the cheeseburger and fries. Both quite good. Nothing majorly special. For some reason I prefer the ambience of the shack in Kentish Town though service here is excellent with staff very accomodating. This is a little hidden shack not far from Kentish Town with a little walk. I really like the feel of this place when you step in, as it’s not like any other burger restaurant as it doesn’t feel like a restaurant. Good sauces and good booze to boot too. It’ an all round good egg of a burger. Cooked and seasoned well. Had better experience to eat then other branches though maybe it’s because I had a few beers beforehand and then had my dirtyburger. Felt appropriate.

Solid burger, closest to a real American burger that I’ve had in London. Portions were a bit smaller than I would’ve expected for the price, but it was all tasty and the atmosphere matched expectations.

Get greasy and dirty for a full experience. A research says that eating with your hands makes you enjoy your food even more. This is the most casual and simple-looking fast food place to eat. And yet, I love the atmosphere and the people that come here. I don’t have to feel shamed or judged for my dirty eating. I’m a big man and I’ll eat and drool and drip all I want. What’s good: The place is hard to find and not so popular, so you can come and secretly eat burgers so your fitness instructor doesn’t find out(le me). The taste: The burgers here are how I like my girls — Authentic, big, calming my hunger and getting me all dirty. The cheeseburger is so hot I still think about it hours after I finished. Fun fact: There’s a sink if you feel like washing yourself, but like Josy said, you’ll be licking your fingers out.

Friends, This burger was amazing. Hands. Down. The menu is simple: cheeseburger, portobello burger, bacon burger, and an option of a double patty. They all come with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mustard in a perfectly-toasted brioche bun that didn’t disintegrate. Nothing was overly greasy. When I say I inhaled that burger, I tell no lie: I ate it probably within a minute of its arrival. The crinkle-cut fries were a perfect accompaniment. The restaurant itself, located behind Pizza East, is small and intimate: we shared the main communal table with a bunch of strangers, all of whom were equally focused on their burgers. There’s even a handwash station for when you’re finished an find yourself dripping with spilled toppings. I can’t wait to go again.

As far as burgers go, this place is just right, especially when you just want something hearty, messy and satisfying. The burgers were about the size of an in and out burger, but the buns were more artisan-style buns. The meat was very flavorful and if you get all the trimmings, be prepared to have goodness dripping out onto your fingers, face and hands. The red onion salt and pepper onion rings were killer!

Went to the Kentish Town one and thought the burger was underwhelming and too small. Would have been good to have a bit more flavor in the meat!

Environment — great vibe, authentic old-school US shack like layout maintained throughout(seats, light, wall décor). Relatively small(no toilets, but nothing a quick walk to the nearby restaurants can’t solve). Food — chips/fries were mediocre. The burger(steam cooked) was good but a little too greasy for my liking. All in all — food was only ‘good’(although, my friends were definitely more keen on it then I was), but this was compensated by the great customer service and authentic layout of the place. I’m a fan of eating in unusual places, that make me forget I’m in London, if you are too then this is your place.

These burgers are the shiznit! Probably my second fav burgers next to Meat Liquor. The menu is simple but the quality is ridiculous! They do have some special burgers which they change occasionally which are usually awesome spins on their classic cheeseburgers. The little restaurant is an awesome design as well, like a old school sheet metal shack out the back of Pizza East. Quite small but when ever iv been iv always been able to get a seat. Really cheap as well! Check them out!

Excellent!

This is one burger I am happy to get my hands dirty with. Dirty Burger is excellent! The cheeseburger here is delicious and really hits the spot when you’re craving a burger. It has a juicy burger patty, a good bun, and just enough pickle. The crinkle cut fries are decent and the mushroom and swiss special burger with two patties and lots of shallots and caramelised onions had a deliciously smokey taste. Shack is the right word for this place, for those who described it as such. I followed the interesting directions given in the Unilocal reviews which led me to a tiny parking lot. Even in such a small space, I somehow could not see Dirty Burger until I really turned all around and noticed that inside the windows of a corrugated wall, I could see people having burgers, in what I realised was the wall of a tiny, tiny shack. So thank you Unilocal for that, I could never have found it without you! Order at the front here and take a number, there are no waiters. The chairs with backs are actually not really balanced, so I’d recommend sitting on the stools for a more comfortable seat. It is shared seating, with stools around tables, and although it is quite basic, I enjoyed sitting in the cosy warmth of the cooking burgers while chilly winds blew just outside(as long as the door is closed). You probably will go home smelling like burgers, but they are worth it.

I visited Dirty Burger as part of my ever ongoing quest to try every burger in London and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. The burger was juicy although this did cause a few problems with the bun holding together and the onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had. Main problems for me though were the chips were pretty average and I found the burgers to be a lot smaller than I’ve had elsewhere even though the price was comparable. The location is very easy to get to although slightly on the small side so you might struggle to get a seat when it’s busy. It’s worth hanging around for though!

You wouldn’t know it was there unless you were shown the way. A little shack behind Pizza East, this burger place is probably one of the best in London. It’s not really a shack, as the kitchen is actually in the building, the seating area is the bit that’s ‘outside’. The genius’s behind Pizza East created 3 restaurants on the site of a single one, turning the basement into Chicken Shop — a rotisserie chicken place that I’ve still got to try, Pizza East in the main section, and Dirty Burger around the back. The choice is limited, cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger or the special. A veggie option for those inclined, chips or onion strips. The drinks menu is longer than the food menu… The burgers are made to order and turn up wrapped in greaseproof paper on metal trays. Unwrap it carefully and dig into a beautifully greasy, tasty burger. It really is a dirty burger in so many ways, it’s sloppy, juicy, wonderfully meaty, and you really should eat it in clothes due for the laundry. The chips are okay, the onion strips a bit meh, but a burger and a milkshake and that’s me done for the evening. Even if the burger isn’t huge –it’s a decent size. The taste and juiciness is all that you need.

I was recommended to this place by a friend amd my first impression when i got to this place was… WTF .the place looks like a run down gabbage place. BUTWAITFORIT! All food and milkshakes are made to order. Beef pasties were fresh and even onion fries are seasoned with sea salt and batter is fresh!(No re frying rubbish) Reasonable price.

Great burgers, fun interior and location(back of Pizza East, under a fire escape). It’s almost five stars, but with so many burger places poppin’ up in London, I just ain’t sure. Patty & Bun, Meat Liquor, Grizzler Burgers are mean contenders. But hey, this is like 10 mins away from home!

It’s good, unless you try the cop-out veg burger. That is a crime against humanity. Shriveled portobello with some unidentified white sauce and freaking rocket. No. Just no. There are enough places offering decent veggie burgers and they should step up their game. Fries are solid, cheeseburger juicy and delicious but a little thick. To be honest I prefer 5 guys, but dirty burger is closer to home so what are you gonna do?

It’s more 4 stars for the food overall because the fries are average but I just loved the experience so much it’s hard not to give it a 5. Atmosphere: The restaurant is quite literally a a tin shack. It’s functional, has character, and is surprisingly bright and cheerful inside. Food/drink: They do one item, a cheeseburger. Fortunately, they do it well. This isn’t a posh burger(patty & bun/byron) but more of a basic burger really well executed(shake shack/burger joint in nyc). Cheese, pickles, tomato, lettuce(can’t remember if there was anything else), and a perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy albeit greasy patty. Burger bliss. The burger is a tiny bit on the small side, but I have no complaints beyond that. Also ordered a side of crinkle cut fries. These were extremely average. On the beverage side, they have the camden town pale ale on tap which is a huge plus. Overall: Incredible spot. Best part was that there while it was fairly full, there was no queue and it was easy to get a seat on a Saturday night(it’s not a good spot for large groups). There’s just something about the location that feels it should be a bit cheaper(£5.5 for the burger, £3 for the fries, and £4.5 for the beer — I guess it’s only the price of the fries I have an issue with) but I would still return in a heartbeat. (note: If you’re into awesome beers, check out southampton arms down the road before/after)

If Dirty Burger existed 5 years ago, it would have rated 4 or 5 stars given the utter dearth of good burgers in London at the time. However, things have changed, the bar has been raised and Dirty Burger doesn’t quite meet the quality you can find elsewhere. I really wanted to like the place. It’s a shack with corrugated steel walls. There is old American rock blaring and the décor gives you the impression you’ve just stepped into some dive in the bayou. It’s not made for lingering but it’s nicely decked out. I ordered the cheeseburger and crinkle cut fries. The cheese was nicely melted on the burger and the patty was cooked medium. However, it’s really really greasy and both the bun and paper that was wrapped around the burger were gleaming with grease. It came with a tomato slice and pickles but I removed the pickles and felt that it really needed some red onion and lettuce to lighten the whole thing up a bit. I know that was probably the point of the pickles but given how polarising they are(remember McDonald’s gherkin gherkout?), maybe they could include some other ingredients instead. The patty was compact and hard, like they had compressed the meat into a little hockey puck before cooking. It’s not horrible or anything but it doesn’t make for a really tender juicy burger either. The crinkle cut fries were hot and crunchy just the way they should be. Overall, it’s a decent burger but not worth a special trip, given that there are so many other better burger places in London these days.

I wouldn’t consider myself as a burger expert but I do really like these greasy, happy burgers! There was the perfect amount of fat in the meat to make them juicy… and although I initially thought they looked small, mine was really, really filling. The chips weren’t bad… but I wasn’t overly impressed at the red-onion onion fries… meh. they were mostly batter. I did really enjoy the creamy vanilla milkshake –om nom nom. I was glad to see they have installed a sink to wash greasy fingers(although I have to admit, I licked mine clean before I washed them!!) I’m afraid I can’t give them 5 stars as we went on a cold night and it really is a bit chilly in that teeny burger shack! …and because it is a little pricey considering it’s only a little hut in a car park!
