Great London pub for spotting the odd celeb, price is typical central London pricing but have great landlords and staff. A nice selection of seating around the bar and a great place to also watch sports. They also have upstairs seating but I prefer to be downstairs. You can stand outside as its one quiet road. A good central London pub and a must visit if in town

Corner local pub. A few real ales with all the other usually. Upstairs seating but stayed Dow stairs. Cosy décor. Nothing special going on here though

Nice, quiet, traditional pub — great location. It has that«old man pub» vibe, but it’s actually not bad. They had Kraken rum, so I was happy. Great for dinner pre or post drinks.

Nice quiet pub — it isn’t cavernous & you can speak with your other half without having to shout. Given its proximity to Charlotte St it is ideal either before or after dinner. All in all a good find.

Very nice pub which made a delicious whisky mac. My friend enjoyed her wine too. It’s traditional compared to some of the trendier bars along Goodge St which is nice if you want a cosy drink.

I remember this pub in the 60’s filled with ties & the hound of the Baskervilles behind the bar. Later still, when the ANC had their offices opposite, the scene of an attack. Now its a friendly pub especially good in winter

I really like little, cozy pubs so if you’re more into your open-plan bars and cavernous venues you probably won’t enjoy this place as much as I do. It’s slightly off the beaten track down a little alley so has a bit of a ‘hidden’ feel, and has a decent selection of ales and wines. Another great thing about this pub is its upstairs function room, which is an ideal space to hire out for parties. I had a great bash up there for my 30th, and it was one of those cool venues that gets everyone comfortably together in one place.

Despite being tucked away behind Charlotte Street, this is a busy and popular pub with not only the locals but also for the after work crowd. Trivia: The infamous razor gang known as Pirelli’s mob marched into this pub during the second world war, ordered drinks without paying for them then threw the glasses against the wall, and threatened customers with the jagged glass butts. This pub is featured on the Fitzrovia Crawl

Spontaneous after work drinking meant that we wound up here, the duke or York(following me saying no, we’re not going to the Hope, I’ve got reviews to write!). It seemed to do the trick. I like this pub much more than the Hope on Tottenham street. This pub has rather good ale(I do like Old Speckled Hen even though it makes me drunk very quickly.) This pub somehow enticed us to stay outside for an extra beer even though ooooh it’s getting a bit nippy in the evenings now. yep, Summer is a little bit over. Had the sun still been shining, I’m sure we would have stayed for another drink. Average beer prices — bit over three quid i think. The bar is cool, in a nice horseshoe shape although the toilets were a little cramped and messy. It gets four stars because it’s a much better pub than our current after work local. Hopefully I can convince people to move here permanently
